Abstract

Konsistensi dan objektivitas penilaian karya tulis ilmiah (KTI) pada dasarnya bergantung pada rubrik penilaian yang memuat, antara lain, skala dan kriteria untuk menentukan kualitas KTI. Namun, pada praktiknya hal tersebut juga sering ditentukan oleh faktor severitas (keketatan dalam memberi nilai), kepribadian, dan latar belakang penilai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis parameter psikometrika dari instrumen kepribadian dan instrumen penilaian artikel ilmiah. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menyelidiki sejauh mana faktor-faktor kepribadian dan latar belakang penilai terlibat dalam penilaian artikel ilmiah. Oleh karena itu, teori tes modern diterapkan guna menyelidiki apakah terdapat pengaruh faktor-faktor kepribadian (agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion, neuroticism, openness) dan latar belakang (usia, gender, pengalaman menilai, pelatihan di kantor, dan pelatihan di luar kantor) dari para penilai terhadap tingkat severitas mereka dalam menilai. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 orang penilai, yaitu para pejabat fungsional kebahasaan di Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa, Kemdikbud, Jakarta. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen kepribadian yang diadaptasi dari instrumen Big Five Inventory (BFI) dan instrumen penilaian artikel ilmiah yang diadaptasi dari Transparent Academic Writing Rubric (TAWR). Instrumen BFI dianalisis dengan menggunakan model Rasch, sedangkan instrumen penilaian artikel ilmiah dianalisis dengan menggunakan Many Facets Rasch Measurement (MFRM). Untuk menyelidiki pengaruh kepribadian dan latar belakang penilai terhadap severitas penilai, digunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Analisis instrumen BFI dengan model Rasch menghasilkan empat butir yang harus dibuang karena tidak memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan. Analisis instrumen penilaian artikel ilmiah dengan model MFRM menghasilkan 16 butir penilaian yang dibuang karena tidak memenuhi kriteria. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh siginifikan kepribadian conscientiousness terhadap severitas penilai, sedangkan kepribadian agreeableness, extraversion, neuroticism, dan openness tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap severitas penilai. Latar belakang penilai, yaitu usia dan pelatihan di kantor secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap severitas penilai, sedangkan latar belakang penilai yang lain, yaitu gender, pengalaman menilai, dan pelatihan di luar kantor tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap severitas penilai. **** The consistency and objectivity of scientific paper assessment (karya tulis ilmiah/KTI) are basically dependent on the assessment rubric that contains scales and criteria in order to determine the quality of scientific paper assessment (karya tulis ilimiah / KTI). However, scientific paper assessment (karya tulis ilimiah/KTI) is also often determined by the severity factor (strictness in giving scores), personality, and background of the assessor. The objective of this study is to analyze the psychometric parameters of personality instruments and scientific article assessmentinstruments. In addition, this study also investigates the extent to which the assessor's personality and background factors are involved in the assessment of scientific articles. Therefore, modern test theory is applied in order to investigate whether there is an influence of the personality factors (agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion, neuroticism, openness) and background (age, gender, assessor experience, in-house training, and external training) of the assessor on their severity in rating. This study is quantitative research with correlational method. Respondents in this study were 50 assessor, namely functional linguistic officials at the Language Development and Guidance Agency, Ministry of Education and Culture, Jakarta. The sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were personality instruments adapted from the Big Five Inventory (BFI) instrument and scientific article assessment instruments adapted from the Transparent Academic Writing Rubric (TAWR). The BFI instrument was analyzed using the Rasch model, while the scientific article assessment instrument was analyzed using Many Facets Rasch Measurement (MFRM). The multiple linear regression analysis was used to investigate the influence of the assessor’s personality and background on the assessor’s severity. Analysis of the BFI instrument with the Rasch model revealed four items that had to be eliminated because they did not meet the established criteria. Analysis of the scientific article assessment instrument with the MFRM model resulted in 16 assessment items that were discarded because they did not meet the criteria. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that there is a significant effect of conscientiousness personality on the assessor’s severity, while agreeableness, extraversion, neuroticism, and openness personality have no significant effect on the assessor’s severity. Assessor’s background, that is, age and in-house training, significantly affect the assessor’s severity, while other assessor’s backgrounds, namely gender, experience in assessing, and external training have no significant effect on the assessor’s severity.
