Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan kepribadian Arthur Fleck, tokoh utama dalam film Joker dengan menggunakan teori psikoanalisis yaitu teori yang menjelaskan tentang hakikat dan perkembangan kepribadian manusia. Unsur-unsur yang diutamakan dalam teori ini adalah motivasi, emosi dan aspek-aspek internal dan eksternal lainnya. Metode deskriptif analitis digunakan untuk menganalisis kepribadian Arthur Fleck melalui struktur yang ada di dalam pemikiran, perasaan dan perilaku, yang terdiri dari Id, Ego dan Superego. Dalam membuat analisis ini peneliti menjelaskan dialog-dialog dan juga gerakan tubuh dari Arthur Fleck yang ada pada film layar lebar ini, Joker. Hasil dari penelitian ini meunjukan bahwa kepribadian Arthur terbentuk melalui struktur pemikiran yang dihasilkan dari tingkat kesadaran yang terdapat di dalam diri Arthur. Id, Ego dan Superego yang terdapat di dalam diri Arthur berpengaruh besar dalam kehidupannya. Ketika Id, Ego dan Superego berinteraksi dan berhubungan, sehingga membuat Arthur mengambil keputusan yang tidak pernah terduga. ***** This study aims to explain and describe the personality of Arthur Fleck, the main character in the Joker film by using psychoanalytic theory, which is a theory that explains the nature and development of human personality. The elements that take precedence in this theory are motivation, emotions and other internal and external aspects. The analytical descriptive method is used to analyze the personality of Arthur Fleck through the structures that exist within the thoughts, feelings and behaviors, consisting of the Id, Ego and Superego. In making this analysis, the researcher explained the dialogues and body movements of Arthur Fleck in this feature film, the Joker. The results of this study show that Arthur's personality is formed through a thought structure resulting from the level of consciousness contained in Arthur. The Id, Ego and Superego contained in Arthur had a great influence on his life. When Id, Ego and Superego interact and relate, thus making Arthur make unexpected decisions.
