Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of peer attachment on Fear of Missing Out in female adolescents. In this study used quantitative research methods. This study uses the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) Scale made by Kaloeti et al., (2021) which has been modified from Przybylski et al., (2013) to measure the level of fear of missing out and Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (Revised Version) made by Armsden and Greenberg (1989) to measure the level of peer attachment. The sample in this study were 332 female adolescents in Indonesia. The result showed that the p-value 0.321 > α 0.05, which means that there is no significant effect of peer attachment on fear of missing out in female adolescents. In this study there is no relationship and effect between the two variables causing the need for other variables to moderate and explain the effect of peer attachment on fear of missing out.
