Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh antara dukungan sosial terhadap penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa rantau dari Papua di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 55 orang yaitu mahasiswa rantau dari Papua yang masih aktif melanjutkan studinya di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala penyesuaian diri (Personal Adjustment) yang dikembangkan dari teori Schneiders (1964) dan The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) untuk mengukur variabel dukungan sosial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji statistik menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dengan aplikasi SPSS versi 26, didapatkan nilai F hitung sebesar 8,534 dan F tabel sebesar 4,02. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dukungan sosial yang signifikan terhadap penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa rantau dari Papua di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Selain itu, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai R square sebesar 0.139 yang artinya terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial secara signifikan terhadap penyesuaian diri sebesar 13,9%. Kata Kunci: Dukungan Sosial, Penyesuaian Diri, Mahasiswa Rantau dari Papua, Universitas Negeri Jakarta ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of social support on self adjustment of overseas students from Papua at State University of Jakarta. This research type is quantitative descriptive research. The research sample consisted of 55 students from Papua who are still actively continuing their studies at State University of Jakarta. The measuring instrument that used in this research is the Personal Adjustment Scale which was developed from the theory of Schneiders (1964) and The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) to measure social support variables. Based on the results of the statistical test analysis using the simple linear regression with the SPSS 26th version application, known that the calculated F value was 8.534 and the F table was 4.02. This result shows that there is a significant influence of social support on self adjustment of overseas students from Papua at State University of Jakarta. In addition, the results of this study indicate the R square value is 0.139, which means that social support contributes 13.9% to the self adjustment of overseas students from Papua at State University of Jakarta.
