Abstract

Profil guru bahasa Mandarin di tiap sekolah khususnya tingkat SMA/sederajat di Jabodetabek sangat beragam. Setiap guru bahasa Mandarin tersebut memiliki latar belakang pendidikan, pengalaman mengajar serta pelatihan/karya pengembangan profesi yang berbeda. Namun, data yang terkait mengenai latar belakang pendidikan, pengalaman mengajar serta pelatihan/karya pengembangan profesi tersebut belum diketahui secara pasti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) latar belakang pendidikan guru bahasa Mandarin tingkat SMA/sederajat di Jabodetabek; 2) pengalaman mengajar yang dimiliki guru bahasa Mandarin tingkat SMA/sederajat di Jabodetabek; 3) pelatihan/karya pengembangan profesi guru bahasa Mandarin tingkat SMA/sederajat di Jabodetabek. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan kuesioner berbentuk Google Form sebagai instrument penelitian. Penelitian ini dibatasi untuk wilayah Jabodetabek saja, sehingga responden penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Mandarin tingkat SMA/sederajat di Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas guru bahasa Mandarin tingkat SMA/sederajat di Jabodetabek merupakan lulusan S1 Bahasa Mandarin (Non-Kependidikan) (42%), berdomisili di Jakarta (37%), berusia 21-30 tahun (54%), berjenis kelamin perempuan (81%), berstatus guru non-PNS (52%) serta tidak memiliki latar belakang keluarga Tionghoa (54%). Mayoritas pengalaman mengajar guru bahasa Mandarin tersebut mengajar tingkat SMA (81%) di Jakarta (50%), memiliki pengalaman selama <11 tahun (60%), dan mayoritas guru bahasa Mandarin tersebut mengikuti pelatihan metode pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin (71%), yang diadakan Pusat Bahasa Mandarin (31%) dengan jumlah pelatihan yang diikuti 1 pelatihan dalam 1 tahun (77%). Dalam pengembangan profesi guru, guru bahasa Mandarin tersebut masih sedikit yang memiliki karya pengembangan profesi. Each Mandarin teacher has a different educational background, teaching experience and training/professional development work. However, relevant data regarding educational background, teaching experience and training/professional development work are not known with certainty. This study aims to describe: 1) educational background of high school/equivalent Mandarin teachers in Jabodetabek; 2) teaching experience of high school/equivalent Mandarin teachers in Jabodetabek; 3) training/professional development work for high school/equivalent Mandarin teachers in Jabodetabek. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research method used is using a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form as a research instrument. This research was limited in Jabodetabek, so the respondents to this study were high school/equivalent Mandarin teachers in Jabodetabek. The results of this study indicate that the majority of high school/equivalent Mandarin teachers in Jabodetabek are Bachelor Degree graduates in Mandarin (Non-Education) (42%), domiciled in Jakarta (37%), aged 21-30 years (54%), gender female (81%), non-PNS teacher status (52%) and do not have a Chinese family background (54%). The majority of Chinese language teachers' teaching experience teach high school level (81%) in Jakarta (50%), have experience of <11 years (60%), and the majority of these Chinese teachers have attended training in Chinese learning methods (71%), which Mandarin Language Centers were held (31%) with the number of trainings attended by 1 training in 1 year (77%). In the development of the teacher's profession, only a few of these Mandarin teachers have professional development work. Keywords: Profile, teacher, Mandarin, Jabodetabek
