Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui inferioritas tokoh utama dalam novel Rapijali 1: Mencari karya Dee Lestari. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) mendeskripsikan unsur tokoh, tema, latar, dan alur novel Rapijali 1: Mencari karya Dee Lestari, (2) mendeskripsikan perasaan inferioritas tokoh utama berdasarkan penokohan tokoh, (3) mendeskripsikan persepsi subjektif tokoh utama yang membentuk daya juang, dan (4) menafsirkan perjuangan meraih superioritas tokoh utama novel Rapijali 1: Mencari dengan kajian psikologi individual. Metode yang digunakanan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif yang dikaitkan dengan teori Psikologi Individual Alfred Adler. Adler berpendapat bahwa perasaan inferioritas dalam taraf normal dapat menjadi pendorong individu meraih keberhasilan (superioritas). Melalui tokoh, tema, latar, dan alur ditemukan bahwa Rapijali 1: Mencari merupakan novel coming of age atau novel yang menitikberatkan pada perkembangan psikis tokoh. Rapijali 1: Mencari mengangkat tema kekhawatiran tentang masa depan. Kekhawatiran ini menuntut karakter dalam cerita berjuang untuk sebuah identitas atau perjalanan menemukan tujuan diri. Karakter tokoh utama dalam novel ini digambarkan memiliki perasaan inferioritas yang kuat. Perpindahan latar dari desa ke kota membentuk persepsi subjektif tokoh atas kenyataan dan mengharuskan tokoh menyesuaikan diri. Alur maju menggambarkan dengan jelas kurva perkembangan psikis tokoh. Setelah menganalisis struktur novel, ditemukan bahwa perasaan inferioritas tokoh utama yang paling dominan adalah sifat keragu-raguan akan kemampuan diri. Kemudian perasaan inferioritas tersebut membentuk persepsi subjektif tokoh atau tujuan fiksi, yakni keterasingan dan komunitas serta kekhawatiran dan kesadaran. Selanjutnya, ketelah membentuk persepsi subjektif, tokoh melakukan perjuangan meraih superioritas (keberhasilan diri). Ditemukan bahwa upaya tokoh mencapai superioritasnya yaitu dengan membentuk daya juang dan mengembangkan minat sosial. Melalui analisis tersebut, tampak bahwa tokoh utama dalam novel Rapijali 1: Mencari memiliki perasaan inferioritas yang dapat r pendorong individu menentukan serta meraih tujuan (superioritas). Kata Kunci: inferioritas, psikologi individual, psikologi sastra, struktur novel ***** This study aims to determine the inferiority of the main character in the novel Rapijali 1: Mencari by Dee Lestari. The aims of this research are (1) to describe the elements of the character, theme, setting, and plot of Rapijali 1: Mencari Dee Lestari's novel, (2) to describe the main character's feelings of inferiority based on the characterizations, (3) to describe the main character's perceptions that shape fighting power, and (4) the trial seizes the superiority of the main character of the novel Rapijali 1: Mencari with individual psychological studies. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method associated with Alfred Adler's Individual Psychology theory. Adler argues that feelings of inferiority at a normal level can be a driving force for individuals to achieve success (superiority). Through the characters, themes, settings, and plot, it is found that Rapijali 1: Mencari for is a coming-of-age novel or novel that focuses on the psychosocial development of the characters. Rapijali 1: Mencari raised the theme of worry about the future. This concern requires the characters in the story to struggle for an identity or journey to find their own purpose. The main character in this novel is described as having a strong sense of inferiority. The movement of the background from village to city shapes the character's perception of reality and requires the character to adapt. The forward plot clearly describes the psychographic development of the characters. After analyzing the structure of the novel, it was found that the main character's feeling of inferiority is the most dominant trait of self-doubt. Then these feelings of inferiority shape individual perceptions or fictional goals, namely alienation and community as well as worry and awareness. Furthermore, after forming subjective perceptions, the character struggles to achieve superiority (self-success). It was found that the character's efforts to achieve superiority were by forming fighting power and developing social interest. Through this analysis, it appears that the main character in the novel Rapijali 1: Mencari for has a feeling of inferiority that can drive individuals to determine and achieve goals (superiority).
