Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh emotional unavailability mother terhadap sikap misogini di masa dewasa awal. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 244 responden berusia dewasa awal dari seluruh Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen The Lum Emotional Availability of Parents (LEAP) milik Lum dan Phares (2005) untuk mengukur emotional unavailability mother, dan instrumen Measuring Individuals’ Misogynistic Attitudes milik Rottweiler dan Gill (2020) untuk mengukur misogini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh emotional unavailability mother terhadap sikap misogini di masa dewasa awal. Pengaruh ini bersifat positif yang berarti semakin tinggi emotional unavailability mother maka semakin tinggi pula misogini yang dialami individu dewasa awal. ********* This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of emotional unavailability mothers on misogyny attitudes in early adulthood. The approach used in this research is quantitative. The sample in this study was 244 early adult respondents from all over Indonesia. This study uses Lum and Phares' (2005) The Lum Emotional Availability of Parents (LEAP) instrument to measure emotional unavailability mothers, and Rottweiler and Gill's Measuring Individuals' Misogynistic Attitudes instrument (2020) to measure misogyny. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the emotional unavailability of the mother on misogyny attitudes in early adulthood. This influence is positive, which means that the higher the emotional unavailability of the mother, the higher the misogyny experienced by early adult individuals.
