Abstract

This study aims to find and describe the types of presupposition and conversational implicature in the movie Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu by Philippe de Chauveron. The theory used as a reference in this research is six types of presupposition and three types of conversational implicature by George Yule (2018). The presuppositions consist of existential, factual, lexical, structural, non-factive and counterfactual. Then, for conversational implicature consists of general conversational implicature, scale conversational implicature and special conversational implicature. The research method used in this research is content analysis. The data in this study are phrases, clauses and sentences in the movie that show the types of presupposition and conversational implicature.The result of this study shows that there are thirty-two (32) data for presupposition types. Among the data are twelve (12) structural presuppositions, eight (8) existential presuppositions, seven (7) factual presuppositions, two (2) lexical presuppositions and two (2) counterfactual presuppositions, one (1) non-factive presupposition.Furthermore, the results of the data found for the type of conversational implicature amounted to thirteen (13) data. Among the amount of data are eight (8) special conversational implicatures, three (3) general conversational implicatures and two (2) scale conversational implicatures. Based on the results of the research conducted on the movie Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu. It can be explained that the use of structural presupposition and the use of special conversational implicature are more dominant in the speech in the movie. ***** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis dari presuposisi dan implikatur percakapan dalam film Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu karya Philippe de Chauveron. Teori yang digunakan sebagai acuan dalam penelitian ini adalah enam jenis presuposisi dan tiga jenis implikatur percakapan oleh George Yule (2018). Presuposisi terdiri dari eksistensial, faktif, leksikal, struktural, non-faktif dan konterfaktual. Kemudian, untuk implikatur percakapan terdiri dari implikatur percakapan umum, implikatur percakapan skala dan implikatur percakapan khusus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa frasa, klausa dan kalimat dalam film yang menunjukkan jenis-jenis dari presuposisi dan implikatur percakapan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga puluh dua (32) data untuk jenis presuposisi. Di antara jumlah data tersebut yaitu presuposisi struktural dua belas (12), presuposisi eksistensial delapan (8),presuposisi faktif dengan tujuh (7), presuposisi leksikal dan presuposisi konterfaktual berjumlah dua (2), presuposisi non-faktif satu (1). Selanjutnya hasil data yang ditemukan untuk jenis implikatur percakapan berjumlah tiga belas (13) data. Di antara jumlah data tersebut yaitu implikatur percakapan khusus delapan (8), implikatur percakapan umum tiga (3) data dan implikatur percakapan skala dua (2). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada film Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu. Dapat dijelaskan bahwa penggunaan presuposisi struktural dan penggunaan implikatur percakapan khusus lebih mendominasi dalam tuturan yang ada pada film tersebut.
