Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural yang ada dalam Novel Negeri 5 Menara menggunakan pendekatan struktural dan semiotik. Subfokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis nilai pendidikan multikultural ditinjau dari struktur internal novel, semiotik Greimas, dan dari análisis wacana kritis serta kerangka model pendidikan multikultural yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan struktural dan semiotik. Data diambil dari: Kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat, wacana, dan tanda semiotik yang mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural pada novel Negeri 5. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: 1) temuan pada struktur internal novel dicerminkan pada nilai demokrasi, nilai pluralis, dan nilai humanis yang berimplikasi pada proses pembelajaran di kelas ataupun di luar kelas, yaitu siswa diajarkan bagaimana menerima perbedaan pendapat dalam pengambilan keputusan. 2) Dari hasil analisis hubungan aktan, skema model fungsional dan struktur batin untuk model nilai pendidikan multikultural juga tercermin pada nilai demokrasi, nilai pluralis, dan nilai humanis. 3) Kajian nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural dari temuan teori Greimas dalam perspektif AWK melalui 3 dimensi analisis, yaitu dimensi teks menggambarkan keharmonisan pendidikan antara ilmu pengetahuan umum dan agama, praktik wacana disajikan sesuai dengan realitas pengalaman dan latar belakang sosial penulis, dan praktik sosial budaya berkaitan dengan budaya dan pendidikan bagi masyarakat Indonesia yang telah menjadi keseharian dari masyarakat Indonesia. 4) Kerangka model pendidikan multilkultral dari hasil analisis tergambarkan pada perpaduan konten, konstruksi pengetahuan dalam sistem pendidikan, penanaman nilai-nilai kebaikan yang sesuai dengan perbedaan dan karakter kearifan lokal, kesamaan konsep nilai pluralis, dan pemberdayaan budaya sebagai bentuk fondasi dari kebebasan pemahaman lintas budaya ***** The purpose of this study is to investigate the values of multicultural education in Novel Negeri 5 Menara using a structural and semiotic approach. This research examined the value of multicultural education in terms of: 1) the internal structure of the novel, 2) Greimas' semiotics, 3) critical discourse analysis, 4) the framework of the multicultural education model resulting from the analysis. This research design used a qualitative approach using content analysis methods with structural and semiotic approaches. The data were Words, phrases, Clause and sentences in discourses and semiotic signs in the novel Negeri 5 Menara. The results of the study show that 1) the findings on the internal structure of the novel are reflected in the values of democracy, pluralism, and humanism values which have implications for the learning process in the classroom or outside the classroom, where students are taught how to accept differences of opinion in decision making. 2) From the results of the actan relationship analysis, the functional model scheme and the inner structure for the multicultural education value model are also reflected in the value of democracy, the value of pluralism, and the value of humanism. 3) Study of the values of multicultural education from the findings of Greimas theory in the perspective of AWK through 3 dimensions of analysis, namely the text dimension describes the harmony of education between general science and religion, discourse practices are presented according to the reality of the experience and social background of the author, and socio-cultural practices related to culture and education for the people of Indonesia which has become the daily life of the Indonesian people. 4) The framework of the multicultural education model from the results is illustrated in the combination of content, knowledge construction in the education system, inculcation of good values by the differences and characters of local wisdom, the similarity of the concept of pluralism values, and cultural empowerment as a form the foundation of cross-cultural freedom of understanding.
