Abstract
Kemampuan membaca pemahaman merupakan kemampuan reseptif pembelajaran bahasa yaitu siswa harus mampu memahami, memaknai, menginterpretasi, teks untuk mengembangkan sikap, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan potensinya. Namun hal ini menjadi kendala saat minat membaca siswa rendah, teknik membaca siswa belum tepat, konsentrasi membaca siswa rendah, minimnya fasilitas bahan bacaan. bahan pembelajaran whole language dapat dijadikan solusi untuk menstimulus kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Konsep bahan pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan teks multimodal (lisan, tulisan, visual, audio dan audio visual) serta terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai pelajar pancasila, dapat menciptakan pembelajaran bahasa seutuhnya dan lebih menarik. Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan produk bahan pembelajaran berbasis whole language dengan teks multimodal (lisan, tulis, visual, audio, audiovisual) sesuai dengan genre of education pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun 2022 dengan sample siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas IV di Jakarta Barat yang dipilih secara simple random sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan research and development dengan integrasi model Dick and Carey dan model Tomlinson. Berdasarkan validasi ahli baik aspek materi, media, dan bahasa menunjukkan bahwa bahan pembelajaran berbasis whole language ini valid digunakan. Pada tahap evaluasi perorangan dan kelompok kecil menunjukkan respon siswa sebesar 81,00 dengan kategori tinggi. Adapun hasil uji efektifitas melibatkan 56 siswa menggunakan desain pretest-postest menunjukkan bahwa bahan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berbasis whole language efektif dan praktis terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa Sekolah Dasar Kelas IV. Teknik analisis data yang digunkan adalah Uji N-Gain Score dan Independent Sample t-Test. Hasil menunjukan bahan pembelajaran berbasis whole language dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran untuk menstimulus kemampuan membaca pemahaman. ABSTRACT The read comprehension is a receptive ability in language learning, namely students must be able to understand, interpret, interpret, texts to develop their attitudes, knowledge, skills, and potential. However, this becomes an obstacle when students' reading interest is low, students' reading techniques are not appropriate, students' reading concentration is low, and reading material facilities are minimal. whole language learning materials can be used as a solution to stimulate students' reading comprehension skills in learning Indonesian. The concept of learning materials that are integrated with multimodal texts (oral, written, visual, audio and audio-visual) and integrated with the values of Pancasila students, can make language learning whole and more interesting. The purpose of this study was to produce learning material products based on whole language with multimodal texts (oral, written, visual, audio, audiovisual) in accordance with the genre of education in Indonesian language learning for grade IV elementary schools. This research was conducted in 2022 with a sample of fourth grade elementary school students in West Jakarta who were selected by simple random sampling. This research is research and development with the integration of the Dick and Carey model and the Tomlinson model. Based on expert validation both the material, media and language aspects show that this whole language-based learning material is valid to use. At the individual and small group evaluation stages, the student response was 81.00 in the high category. The results of the effectiveness test involving 56 students using the pretest-posttest design showed that Indonesian language learning materials based on the whole language were effective and practical on the reading comprehension ability of Grade IV Elementary School students. The data analysis technique used is the N-Gain Score Test and the Independent Sample t-Test. The results show that learning materials based on whole language can be used as learning materials to stimulate reading comprehension skills.
