Abstract

ABSTRAK Kimcil Sebagai Bentuk Penyimpangan Sosial (Studi Kasus : Siswi SMK X Kabupaten Sukabumi) Skripsi, Jakarta: Program Studi Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu, pertama untuk mengetahui proses terbentuknya kimcil di SMK X, kedua untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab terjadinya fenomena kimcil di SMK X, dan ketiga untuk mengetahui karakteristik perilaku kimcil sebagai bentuk penyimpangan sosial di SMK X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK X Sukabumi. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober - Desember 2022. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 5 orang informan SMK X dan dua informan pendukung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam pada informan, observasi di lokasi penelitian dan data sekunder seperti tinjauan penelitian sebelumnya, sumber informasi pada web dan media sosial. Informan triangulasi peneliti adalah salah satu masyarakat sekitar dan guru di SMK X. Teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Differential Assosiation Edwin H Sutherland dan Teori Penyimpangan Sosial dari Paul Harton. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan jika terdapat fenomena kimcil yang terjadi di SMK X Sukabumi. Kimcil adalah penyebutan bagi siswi yang memiliki karaktersistik dalam tiga hal yaitu gaya penampilan, perilaku/tindakan, dan sikap yang dilabeli oleh masyarakat sekitar SMK X. Proses terbentuknya kimcil yaitu terbagi menjadi dua, dari SMK yang dipengaruhi oleh peer groupe dan dari sejak SMP yang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dan kultur sekolah. Faktor yang menyebabkan fenomean kimcil di SMK X adalah keluarga, sekolah, dan peer groupe. Kimcil dikatakan sebagai perilaku menyimpang dikarenakan tidak sesuai dengan norma dimasyarakat dan sekolah. This study has the objectives, namely, first to determine the process of kimcil formation in SMK X, second to determine the factors causing the phenomenon of kimcil in SMK X, and third to determine the characteristics of kimcil behavior as a form of social deviation in SMK X. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a case study research method. This research was conducted at SMK X Sukabumi. The study was conducted in October - December 2022. The research subjects consisted of 5 informants of SMK X and two supporting informants. Data collection was conducted by in-depth interviews with informants, observation at the research site and secondary data such as previous research reviews, information sources on the web and social media. The researcher triangulation informant is one of the surrounding communities and teachers at SMK X. The theory used is the Differential Association Theory of Edwin H Sutherland and the Social Deviance Theory of Paul Harton The results of this study show that there is a kimcil phenomenon that occurs at SMK X Sukabumi. Kimcil is a term for students who have characteristics in three things, namely the style of appearance, behavior / action, and attitude labeled by the community around SMK X. The process of forming kimcil is divided into two, from SMK which is influenced by peer grouping and from junior high school which is influenced by the environment and school culture. The factors that cause kimcil phenomean in SMK X are family, school, and peer group. Kimcil is said to be deviant behavior because it does not conform to the norms in society and schools.
