Abstract

Abtract This study aims to determine the effect of Flashcard learning media on the learning outcomes of class X students on the hydrosphere material in Geography subject at SMAN 54 Jakarta. Geography subject has complex materials so students complain about the difficulty of understanding the subject matter. Flashcard media was chosen as a learning medium that can make it easier for students to understand the subject matter. Through flashcards, teachers can create educational games so that students can experience learning while playing without feeling bored with ongoing learning. This study used an experimental research method with a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were students of class X SMAN 54 Jakarta with research samples taken through purposive sampling, namely class X-C as an experimental class that carried out the learning process using Flashcard media and class X-D as a control class that used Powerpoint media accompanied by pictures. The results showed that there was an effect of Flashcard learning media on the learning outcomes of class X students. This was evidenced by the average Post-Test score of the experimental class which was higher than the average Post-Test score of the control class. The Post-Test values of both classes were then tested through the Independent Sample T-Test with a significance level value (Sig.) of 0.01 < 0.05 which stated that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is a significant difference between the post-test results of the control class and the post-test results of the experimental class. Flashcard media makes the learning process more memorable because it is used through educational games so that students' understanding and memory last longer which has an impact on the high Post-Test scores of the experimental class. Meanwhile, the learning process in the control class that uses Powerpoint media accompanied by pictures is felt to be less enthusiastic about students so that the understanding and memory of students in the control class tends to be shorter which results in lower Post-Test scores in the control class. *********** Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran Flashcard terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X pada materi hidrosfer mata pelajaran Geografi di SMAN 54 Jakarta. Mata pelajaran Geografi memiliki materi yang kompleks sehingga peserta didik mengeluhkan sulitnya memahami materi pelajaran. Media Flashcard dipilih sebagai media pembelajaran yang dapat memudahkan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pelajaran. Melalui Flashcard, guru dapat menciptakan sebuah permainan edukatif sehingga peserta didik dapat merasakan belajar sambil bermain tanpa adanya rasa bosan dengan pembelajaran yang sedang berlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desainnya yaitu Quasi Eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas X SMAN 54 Jakarta dengan sampel penelitian yang diambil melalui purposive sampling yaitu kelas X-C sebagai kelas eksperimen yang melakukan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media Flashcard dan kelas X-D sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media Powerpoint disertai gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapatnya pengaruh media pembelajaran Flashcard terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui rata-rata nilai Post-Test kelas eksperimen yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata nilai Post-Test kelas kontrol. Nilai Post-Test kedua kelas kemudian diuji melalui Independent Sample T-Test dengan nilai taraf signifikansi (Sig.) sebesar 0,01 < 0,05 yang menyatakan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil Post-Test kelas kontrol dengan hasil Post-Test kelas eksperimen. Media Flashcard membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih berkesan karena digunakan melalui permainan edukatif sehingga pemahaman serta ingatan peserta didik bertahan lebih lama yang berdampak pada tingginya nilai Post-Test kelas eksperimen. Sementara, pembelajaran kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media Powerpoint disertai gambar dirasa kurang menumbuhkan antusiasme peserta didik sehingga pemahaman dan ingatan peserta didik di kelas kontrol terhadap materi pelajaran cenderung lebih singkat yang membuat lebih rendahnya nilai Post-Test kelas kontrol.
