Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penggunaan media pembelajaran Edpuzzle terhadap kemampuan kognitif peserta didik kelas XI IPS di SMAN 30 Jakarta pada mata pelajaran geografi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui pendekatan ekperimen semu (Quasi Experiment) dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini peserta didik kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakukan menggunakan media pembelajaran Edpuzzle dan kelas XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan menggunakan media pembelajaran Power Point. Data diperoleh dari nilai soal Pre-Test dan Post-Tes yang berbentuk esai pada materi bab Keragaman Budaya Indonesia. Soal pre-test diberikan sebelum dilakukan nya kegiatan pembelajaran dan soal post-test diberikan pada saat pembelajaran telah selesai. Kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan selama 5 pertemuan. Data lain diperoleh dari hasil observasi guru dan peserta didik kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol selama proses pembelajaran. Analsis yang digunakan uji persamaan dua rata-rata menggunakan Independent sample T-Test. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari pengujian data yaitu terdapat pengaruh dari media pembelajaran Edpuzzle terhadap kemampuan kognitif peserta didik, dengan perolehan rata-rata kelas ekperimen mengalami kenaikan sebesar 60% dan kelas kontrol mengalami kenaikan sebesar 59%. Kesimpulan dari uji persamaan dua rata-rata (Independent sample T-Test) diperoleh nilai signifikansi (Sig) sebesar 0,037 memenuhi kriteria pengujian yaitu 0,037 < 0,05. Maka H_0 ditolak dan H_a diterima. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of the use of Edpuzzle learning media on the cognitive abilities of students of class XI IPS at SMAN 30 Jakarta in geography subjects. This research uses quantitative methods through a quasi-experiment approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The samples in this study were students of class XI IPS 1 as an experimental class given treatment using Edpuzzle learning media and class XI IPS 3 as a control class given treatment using Power Point learning media. Data obtained from the value of Pre-Test and Post-Test questions in the form of essays on the material chapter on Indonesian cultural diversity. The pre-test question is given before the learning activities are carried out and the post-test question is given when the learning has been completed. Learning activities are carried out for 5 meetings. Other data were obtained from teacher and student observations of experimental and control classes during the learning process. The analysis used the two average equality test using the Independent sample T-Test. Based on the results obtained from data testing, there is an effect of Edpuzzle learning media on the cognitive abilities of students, with the average acquisition of the experimental class increasing by 60% and the control class increasing by 59%. The conclusion of the two average equality test (Independent sample T-Test) obtained a significance value (Sig) of 0.037 meets the testing criteria, namely 0.037 <0.05. Then H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted.
