Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-confidence dengan penyesuaian sosial pada mahasiswa baru angkatan 2022 Prodi Pendidikan IPS Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan sampling jenuh yakni mengambil seluruh populasi untuk dijadikan sebagai sampel yakni sebanyak 76 mahasiswa baru angkatan 2022 Prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi product moment diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,856 (85,6%) sehingga terdapat korelasi antara variabel X dan Y dengan kategori sangat kuat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan self confidence dengan penyesuaian sosial yang bersifat positif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat self confidence maka semakin tinggi pula penyesuaian sosial pada mahasiswa baru angkatan 2022 Prodi Pendidikan IPS UNJ. Kata Kunci: Penyesuaian Sosial, Self Confidence, Mahasiswa Baru ABSTRACT This study aims to determine a correlation of self-confidence and social adjustment in freshmen class of 2022 Social Studies Education Study Program at State University of Jakarta. The method used in this research is quantitative correlation. The sampling technique in this study using saturated sampling is to take the entire population to be used as a sample, namely 76 new students of class 2022 Social Studies Education Study Program UNJ. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing using product moment correlation test obtained results of 0.856 (85.6%) so that there is a correlation of variables X and Y with a very strong category. Based on the results of the study, there is correlation between self-confidence and social adjustment which is positive. This shows that the higher the level of self-confidence, the higher the social adjustment in freshmen class 2022 Social Studies Education Study Program UNJ.
