Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontrol diri penggemar drama boys love Thailand pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, kuesioner, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdapat 4 orang informan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: Kontrol diri Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta penggemar drama boys love Thailand terdiri dari tiga aspek, yaitu kontrol perilaku, kontrol kognitif dan kontrol keputusan. (1) Kontrol perilaku: Kemampuan dalam mengontrol pelaksanaan waktu sudah baik, penggemar menonton drama maupun berselancar di sosial media dilakukan saat waktu luang dan senggang saja. Kemampuan dalam mengontrol emosi masih kurang baik, penggemar selalu histeris jika melihat adegan romantis pasangan sesama jenis, penggemar tidak dapat menahan diri untuk tidak terlibat dalam pertikaian antar penggemar (fanwar). Kontrol perilaku dalam pembelian merchandise, tiket gathering maupun fan meeting sudah baik, penggemar mampu melakukan pertimbangan terlebih dahulu dengan melihat budget, kegunaan dan mendahulukan hal-hal penting. (2) Kontrol kognitif: Kontrol dalam mengolah informasi sudah baik, informasi yang telah di dapat dari sosial media dilakukan cross check terlebih dahulu dari berbagai sumber. Penggemar menjadi lebih open minded dan terjadi perubahan pola pikir tentang hubungan sesama jenis tetapi hanya lebih ke menghargai dan tidak mengubah prinsip hidup awal yang telah dimiliki. (3) Kontrol keputusan: Mahasiswa UNJ penggemar drama boys love Thailand mampu memilih tindakan melalui pertimbangan-pertimbangan yang ada dengan baik, mampu memilih keputusan dengan belajar dari kesalahan masa lalu dan memprioritaskan hal yang saat ini lebih penting, serta bertanggung jawab atas tindakan yang dipilih. This study aims to determine the self-control of fans of the drama boys love Thailand in Jakarta State University students. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The subjects in this study were 4 informants. The results of this study indicate that: Self-control of Jakarta State University students who are fans of the drama boys love Thailand consists of three aspects, namely behavioral control, cognitive control and decision control. (1) Behavior control: The ability to control the implementation of time is good, fans watch dramas and surf social media only in their free time. The ability to control emotions is still not good, fans are always hysterical when they see romantic scenes of same-sex couples, fans can't help but get involved in fights between fans (fanwar). Behavior control in purchasing merchandise, gathering tickets and fan meetings is good, fans are able to make prior considerations by looking at the budget, usability and prioritizing important things. (2) Cognitive control: Control in processing information is good, information that has been obtained from social media is cross-checked first from various sources. Fans are becoming more open minded and there is a change in mindset about same-sex relationships, but only more to respect and not change the initial life principles that they have. (3) Decision control: UNJ students who are fans of drama boys love Thailand are able to choose actions through good considerations, are able to choose decisions by learning from past mistakes and prioritizing things that are currently more important, and being responsible for the actions chosen.
