Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan program Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) Kampus Merdeka dan implementasi yang dilakukan mahasiswa selama mengikuti kegiatan magang di PT. Zenius Education, Jakarta, serta mengetahui Kampus Merdeka dalam perspektif Struktural Fungsional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap karyawan Zenius dan mahasiswa yang berasal dari beberapa universitas di Indonesia dilakukan secara online melalui Zoom Meeting. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2022 hingga bulan Juli 2023 dengan subjek penelitian 10 orang informan, yakni 2 karyawan Zenius Education dan 8 mahasiswa yang mengikuti Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) di Zenius Education yang beralamat di Graha Aktiva, Jl. H. R. Rasuna Said No.Kav. 03, RT.6/RW.4, Kuningan Timur, Kecamatan Setiabudi, Jakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawacara mendalam dengan para informan, serta dokumentasi yang diperoleh secara langsung maupun dari informan. Teori yang digunakan sebagai landasan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori struktural fungsional oleh Talcott Parsons. Hasil penelitian ini adalah adanya program Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) yang dilakukan di PT. Zenius Education memberikan gambaran mengenai seleksi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan tersebut dalam mendapatkan mahasiswa magang yang sesuai dengan kriteria perusahaan. Kegiatan magang yang dilakukan antara lain menjadi tutor, content writer, dan programming. Kemudian, Implementasi magang yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa selama bekerja di PT. Zenius Education bermacam-macam karena sebelum mengerjakan pekerjaan, para peserta magang harus belajar setiap materi dan mengikuti kelas selama tiga bulan dan dua bulan setelahnya baru bekerja. Dalam analisis fungsional, program Kampus Merdeka perlu melakukan adaptasi dengan cara memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengikuti kegiatan Kampus Merdeka, dengan melaraskan tujuan dan mengintegrasikan tujuan itu dengan kurikulum prodi. Perlu keselarasan atau integritas dengan menerima masukan dan evaluasi dari pihak-pihak terkait. Kata kunci: Kampus Merdeka, MSIB, Struktural Fungsional, PT. Zenius Education. This study aims to describe the Independent Campus Certified Independent Study and Internship program (MSIB) and the implementation carried out by students while participating in internship activities at PT. Zenius Education, Jakarta, and get to know the Merdeka Campus from a Structural-Functional perspective. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research method. This research was conducted on Zenius employees and students from several universities in Indonesia which was conducted online via Zoom Meeting. This research was conducted from September 2022 to July 2023 with 10 informants as research subjects, namely 2 Zenius Education employees and 8 students participating in Internships and Certified Independent Studies (MSIB) at Zenius Education which is located at Graha Aktiva, Jl. H. R. Rasuna Said No. kav. 03, RT.6/RW.4, East Kuningan, Setiabudi District, Jakarta. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with informants, as well as documentation obtained directly or from informants. The theory used as the basis for this research is the structural-functional theory of Talcott Parsons. The result of this research is that there is an Internship and Certified Independent Study (MSIB) program conducted at PT. Zenius Education provides an overview of the selection made by the company in getting apprentice students who fit the company's criteria. Internship activities carried out include tutoring, content writing, and programming. Then, the implementation of internships carried out by students while working at PT. Zenius Education varies because before starting work, apprentices have to study every material and attend classes for three months and two months after that they start working. In functional analysis, the Merdeka Campus program needs to adapt by providing opportunities for students to participate in Merdeka Campus activities, by harmonizing goals and integrating these goals with the study program curriculum.
