Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat perbedaan prokrastinasi akademik antara siswa yang aktif berorganisasi dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti organisasi SMP Negeri 03 Citeureup, tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa adalah siswa kelas VIII yang aktif dalam OSIS SMP Negeri 03 Citeureup 30 orang dengan 30 siswa kelas VIII yang bukan anggota OSIS, yang merupakan sampel jenuh. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling bagi siswa yang tidak mengikuti OSIS. Rancangan penelitian ini berupa rancangan studi perbandingan atau comparative study. Membandingkan perbedaan antara siswa yang aktif berorganisasi OSIS dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti OSIS. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meggunakan angket tertutup. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik kuantitatif yang terdiri dari uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan independent sample t test diperoleh p value sebesar 0,00 dan nilai signifikasi sebesar 0,05 maka maka disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan prokrastinasi akademik antara siswa yang mengikuti OSIS dengan siswa yang tidak mengikuti OSIS. This study aims to find out whether there are differences in academic procrastination between students who are actively involved in SMP Negeri 03 Citeureup’s student council (OSIS) and students who don’t participate in student council (non OSIS), academic year 2023/2024. The population in this study are student of 8th Class amounted to 60 students. The samples in this study were students in 8th Class who are active in the student counsil of SMP Negeri 03 Citeureup 30 people with 8th Class students who were not members of the student council, which was a saturation sample. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique for students who did not take part in OSIS. The research design is in the form of a comparative study design. Comparing the differences between students who are active in organizations and students who do not take part of student council organizations. Collecting data in this study using a closed questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is quantitative statistical analysis consisting of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypotheses tests. The results of the study using the Independent sample t test obtained a p value of 0.00 and a significance value of 0.05, so it was concluded that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This shows that there are differences in academic procrastination between students who take part in OSIS and students who do not take part in OSIS.
