Abstract

ABSTRAK Diana Priska Damayanti, Analisis Semiotika Kekerasan Seksual Pada Remaja di dalam Film (Studi Atas Film Drama Thriller “Penyalin Cahaya”). Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023. Nilai-nilai dan norma yang ada di masyarakat dapat ditransmisikan, salah satu transmisinya melalui budaya populer seperti film. Penelitian ini merupakan studi film yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran tindak kekerasan seksual pada remaja yang dihadirkan oleh film drama thriller “Penyalin Cahaya”. Serta menjabarkan makna semiotika yang meliputi Denotative Sign, Connotative Sign, dan Mitos dari simbol atau tanda untuk menjelaskan konstruksi dari realitas sosial tindak kekerasan seksual pada remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah sebuah film drama thrillerIndonesia berjudul “Penyalin Cahaya”. Peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data menggunakan content analysis dengan mengidentifikasi sistem simbol dari dokumen-dokumen yang berkaitan dengan rumusan masalah pada beberapa scene yang mengandung unsur tanda atas tindak kekerasan seksual. Kemudian, data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan model semiotika Roland Barthes dengan tiga analisis penandaan yakni, deskripsi Denotative Sign, deskripsi Connotative Sign, dan deskripsi Mitos. Penelitian ini berlangsung sejak bulan Februari sampai dengan Agustus tahun 2023. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, film drama thriller “Penyalin Cahaya” menggambarkan representasi kekerasan seksual dalam bentuk baru, yaitu kekerasan seksual melalui media digital. Sehingga didapatkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa kekerasan seksual dalam film ini antara lain, kekerasan seksual melalui eksploitasi tubuh, kekerasan seksual melalui penyebaran informasi pribadi tanpa izin, kekerasan seksual melalui pencurian gambar, dan kekerasan seksual melalui pendokumentasian ilegal yang seluruhnya sangat menggambarkan kondisi kekerasan seksual remaja dalam kebudayaan di masyarakat saat ini. Kekerasan seksual dalam film ini direpresentasikan melalui tokoh utama bernama Rama serta tokoh pendukung bernama Amin dan Dewan Kode Etik kepada Suryani,Farah, Tariq, serta mahasiswa lainnya di perguruan tinggi. Adapun pesan-pesan yang ingin disampaikan dari gambaran kekerasan seksual melalui media digital yang dilakukan dalam film drama thriller “Penyalin Cahaya”, di mana film ini menyadarkan masyarakat bahwa kenyataannya kekerasan seksual tersebut memang terjadi di sekitar kita, serta memberikan sindiran keras dalam bentuk film sehingga mempengaruhi pemahaman terkait kekerasan seksual di tengah masyarakat. The values and norms that exist in society can be transmitted, one of which is transmitted through popular culture such as movies. This research is a film study that aims to describe the picture of sexual violence in adolescents presented by the thriller drama film "Penyalin Cahaya". As well as describing the meaning of semiotics which includes Denotative Sign, Connotative Sign, and Myth of symbols or signs to explain the construction of the social reality of sexual violence in adolescents. This research uses a qualitative approach. The method used in this study is a descriptive method using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. The subject of this study was an Indonesian thriller drama film titled "Penyalin Cahaya". Researchers collected data using content analysis by identifying symbol systems from documents related to problem formulations in several scenes that contain elements of signs of sexual violence. Then, the collected data was analyzed using Roland Barthes' semiotic model with three marking analyses, namely, Denotative Sign description, Connotative Sign description, and Myth description. This study will take place from February to August 2023. Based on the research findings, the thriller drama film "Penyalin Cahaya" depicts the representation of sexual violence in a new form, namely sexual violence through digital media. So that research results show that sexual violence in this film includes sexual violence through body exploitation, sexual violence through dissemination of personal information without permission, sexual violence through image theft, and sexual violence through illegal documentation which all strongly illustrate the condition of adolescent sexual violence in culture in today's society. Sexual violence in this film is represented through the main character named Rama and a supporting character named Amin and the Code of Ethics Council to Suryani, Farah, Tariq, and other students in college. The messages to be conveyed from the depiction of sexual violence through digital media carried out in the thriller drama film "Penyalin Cahaya", where this film makes people aware that in fact sexual violence does occur around us, and provides strong satire in the form of films that affect understanding related to sexual violence in the community.
