Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model cooperative learning tipe group investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran PPKn. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design serta menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 74 Jakarta pada bulan Februari-Maret 2023 tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII yang berjumlah 288 siswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 35 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa untuk kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada peneitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling atau menggunakan kriteria tertentu. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan bentuk pilihan ganda atau multiple choice sebanyak 27 soal setelah melalui uji instrument penelitian. Data yang diperoleh di lapangan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dengan jenis Independent Sample Test. Pengujian data menggunakan taraf signifikansi 0,05 atau 5%. Hasil penelitian berbantuan SPSS versi 22 menunjukkan data sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis menunjukkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model cooperative learning tipe group investigation terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran PPKn. Kata Kunci: Cooperative Learning, Group Investigation, Berpikir Kritis This study aims to analyze the effect of the group investigation cooperative learning model on critical thinking skills in Civics subjects. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design and a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 74 Jakarta in February-March 2023 for the 2022/2023 school year. The population of this study was class VIII, which consisted of 288 students. The research sample consisted of 35 students for the experimental class and 30 students for the control class. The sampling technique in this research uses a purposive sampling technique or uses certain criteria. The instrument used in this study was a critical thinking ability test in the form of multiple choice of 27 questions after going through the research instrument test. Data obtained in the field were analyzed using a t-test with the type of Independent Sample Test. Testing the data using a significance level of 0.05 or 5%. The results of SPSS version 22 assisted research show sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis shows that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the group investigation cooperative learning model on critical thinking skills in Civics subjects.
