Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat atau tidaknya pengaruh dari penerapan model learning cycle 7E terhadap hasil belajar IPA terutama dalam ranah kognitif di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 50 peserta didik kelas IV di SDN Bintaro 14 Pagi. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dan metode yang digunakan yaitu undian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi-experimental dengan desain penelitian post-test only control group design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen soal berbentuk pilihan ganda yang diuji normalitas dengan Uji Liliefors dan homogenitas dengan Uji Fisher sebagai uji persyaratan data. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini di uji dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikansi α= 0,05 dengan hasil t_(hitung )(3,489) > t_(tabel )(1,678) sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model learning cycle 7E terhadap hasil belajar IPA Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model learning cycle 7E dapat dijadikan suatu solusi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar terutama dalam ranah kognitif. Dengan demikian, guru perlu memilih model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar terutama dalam muatan IPA.*****This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of the application of the 7E learning cycle model on science learning outcomes, especially in the cognitive domain in grade IV elementary school. The sample in this study were 50 fourth grade students at SDN Bintaro 14 Pagi. Sampling in this study used simple random sampling technique and the method used was lottery. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a post-test only control group design. Data collection was carried out using multiple choice question instruments which were tested for normality with the Liliefors Test and homogeneity with the Fisher Test as a data requirement test. The hypothesis in this study was tested using the t-test at the significance level α = 0.05 with the results of t_count (3.489) > t_table (1.678) so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of the learning cycle 7E model on the learning outcomes of Science Class IV Elementary School. The results showed that the learning cycle 7E model can be used as a solution in improving the science learning outcomes of students in grade IV elementary school, especially in the cognitive domain. Therefore, teachers need to choose the appropriate learning model to be able to improve learning outcomes, especially in science content.
