Abstract

Penelitian ini secara garis besar memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui implementasi prinsip-prinsip andragogi yang dilaksanakan pada program diklat yang diselenggarakan oleh PUSDIKLAT Perpustakaan Nasional RI. Prinsip andragogi merupakan prinsip belajar yang diperuntukkan untuk orang dewasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi lapangan. Subyek penelitian adalah widyaiswara dan peserta diklat, khususnya pada Diklat Kepala Perpustakaan Sekolah (KPS) angkatan tahun 2023. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran di PUSDIKLAT Perpustakaan Nasional RI sudah menerapkan lima dari enam prinsip andragogi. Prinsip yang belum diterapkan merupakan prinsip yang berkaitan antara kecukupan waktu dan pengembangan semua kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh peserta diklat karena waktu belajar yang terbatas sedangkan materi yang dipelajari cukup banyak. Namun untuk penerpan prinsip-prinsip andragogi lainnya sudah terpenuhi sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar peserta diklat. Widyaiswara dan peserta diklat sudah dapat mengatasi kendala-kendala yang ditemui selama proses pembela.*****This research aims to comprehend the implementation of andragogy principles applied within the training program organized by the Center for Library and Knowledge Management Education of the National Library of Indonesia. Andragogy principles are learning principles specifically designed for adults. This study employs a qualitative research approach using a field study method. The research subjects consist of the instructors, and training participants, particularly those attending the School Library Head Training (KPS) program in the year 2023. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the implementation of learning at the National Library Training Center of the Republic of Indonesia already incorporates five out of six andragogy principles. The principle that has not been fully applied is the principle related to the adequacy of time and the development of all participants' abilities due to limited learning time despite the substantial amount of material to be covered. However, other andragogy principles have been successfully implemented according to the participants' learning needs. Both the instructors and the training participants have been able to overcome the challenges encountered during the learning process.
