Abstract
***** This study aims to analyze the effect of stress on the aggressive behavior of housewives in Cengkareng District. The background of this research is because there are still many children who get violence both physically and psychologically from their parents, especially from mothers who are generally known as someone who is loving and close to children. This study uses an associative quantitative approach. The method used in this research is survey method. The sampling technique used in this study was Simple Random Sampling using a questionnaire as media. The instruments used in this research were the perceived stress instrument from Cohen and the brief aggression questionaire from Webster which had been modified and consulted with experts. This research itself involved 97 mothers who already had children in Cengkareng District. The data obtained were then analyzed by simple regression analysis. The results of the regression equation show that the value of the regression coefficient of the stress variable is 0.582, which means that if stress increases by one unit, aggressive behavior increases by 0.582. Furthermore, the results of the regression significance show that the value obtained from the t-table is 1.661 and the t-count is 5,816, so that the t-count value> t-table, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that the stress variable has a significant influence on the behavior variable aggression.
