Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan memperoleh gambaran tentang bagaimana peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam menghadapi transisi endemi Covid-19 di SMK PGRI 1 Tambun Selatan Jenis pendekatan penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK PGRI 1 Tambun Selatan selama bulan Januari 2023 – Juli 2023. Informan penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah serta waka dan guru-guru serta staff dan karyawan penunjang, dan siswa SMK PGRI 1 Tambun Selatan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan dengan triangulasi sumber, metode, dan teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sebagai educator Kepala sekolah berhasil menyesuaikan kebutuhan sekolah dengan keterbatasan dan hambatan yang ada agar dapat melewati masa pandemi Covid-19. Dengan menyesuaikan kurikulum dan proses pembelajaran secara daring dan menyesuaikan setiap materi dan pembuatan RPP yang sesuai dalam menghadapi kondisi tersebut dengan menggunakan kurikulum 2013 untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan dan hambatan yang dimiliki oleh sekolah yaitu media dan sarana prasarana. (2) Kepala sekolah sudah berhasil menjalankan perannya sebagai manager dalam masa pandemic dan transisi endemic Covid-19. Dalam masa pandemi Covid-19 kepala sekolah menyusun dan memberitahu setiap diklat yang dibutuhkan oleh guru selama masa Pandemi dan merekomendasikannya sesuaui dengan jurusan yang diajar dan dimiliki guru agar dapat berjalan secara linear, selain itu guru juga secara mandiri mencari tau setiap diklat yang diadakan dan juga sharing melalui Group Chat Perkumpulan MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam masa pandemi dan transisi endemi Covid-19. (3) Kepala sekolah berhasil menjalankan perannya sebagai administrator, kepala sekolah selalu memantau setiap absensi guru dan staf setiap harinya untuk memantau kinerja guru dan staf. Kepala sekolah melakukan pemantauan setiap jam waktu masuk sekolah Ketika ada guru dan staf sekolah yang terlambat dating ke sekolah kepala sekolah dengan tegas memberikan teguran dan evaluasi kepada guru dan mencari tahu kendala yang terjadi. (4) Kepala sekolah sudah menjalankan perannya dengan baik sebagai leader dengan cara menekankan attitude, pengawasan dan juga tanggung jawab dalam setiap kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan seorang pemimpin bagi setiap guru, staf dan siswi disekolah. Kepala sekolah menggunakan pendekatan dengan cara memberikan contoh kepada guru, staf dan siswa secara langsung tanpa harus menegur dan memberi tahu guru, staf dan siswa sehingga setiap warga sekolah dengan sendirinya mengikuti dan meniru. (5) Kepala sekolah sudah berhasil menjalankan perannya sebagai Inovator dalam masa pandemic dan transisi endemic Covid-19. Kepala sekolah sudah menjalankan perannya sebagai innovator dengan baik salah satu terobosan yang dilakukan sekolah di SMK PGRI 1 Tambun Selatan melalui PPDB yang dilakukan secara Online melalui website hal ini membantu sekolah dalam mendapat jumlah pendaftaran siswa dan siswi secara efektif dan dapat mengurangi biaya pemasaran sekolah dalam mencetak pamflet dan promosi kepada calon siswa dan siswi. (6) Kepala sekolah sudah melakukan proses supervisi dengan baik. Kepala sekolah rutin melakukan kegiatan supervisi yang dilakukan setiap 6 bulan sekali setiap akhir semester dengan melakukan rapat Bersama dan juga pribadi bagi setiap guru dan staf sekolah untuk mengetahui kendala yang dialami dan mencari solusi tepat dalam mengatasinya. (7) Kepala sekolah sudah melakukan perannya sebagai motivator dengan baik. Dalam memberikan motivasi kepada setiap staf dan guru di sekolah kepala sekolah melakukan pendekatan dengan sering menyapa dan menanyakan setiap keadaan guru dan staf setiap harinya, kepala sekolah juga dinilai sering membuat suasana yang baik bagi setiap guru dan siswa dengan tidak memberikan pemisah dan jarak sehingga dapat lebih dekat mengenal kepala sekolah di SMK PGRI 1 Tambun Selatan. (8) Selain kegiatan administratif seperti absensi kepala sekolah juga telah memberikan solusi kepada siswa dan siswi yang mengalami permasalahan terhadap ekonomi, di SMK PGRI 1 Tambun Selatan kepala sekolah menerapkan system tabungan atau iuran wajib bagi siswa dan siswi di SMK PGRI 1 Tambun Selatan sebesar Rp. 50.000,- Rupiah setiap bulannya uang tersebut digunakan untuk mengcover biaya iuran SPP bagi setiap siswa dan siswi disekolah serta dapat digunakan sebagai dana darurat bagi sekolah Ketika dibutuhkan. Selain dana tersebut Sekolah juga mendapatkan dana sumbangan yang diberikan oleh Yayasan untuk siswa dan siswi yang mengalami permasalahan ekonomi.*****This Research aims to find and obtain an overview of how the leadership role of school principals in facing the Covid-19 endemic transition The research was conducted at Vocational Highschool PGRI 1 South Tambun during January 2023 - July 2023. The research informants were the school principal, deputy headmaster and teacher, maintenance support staff, and students.of Vocational High School PGRI 1 South Tambun. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation studies. The collected data is then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that (1) The principal's leadership role as a principal educator has successfully adjusted the needs of schools to the limitations and obstacles that exist in order to get through the Covid-19 pandemic. By adjusting the curriculum and learning process online and adjusting each material and making appropriate lesson plans in dealing with these conditions by using the 2013 curriculum to adjust the needs and obstacles that are owned by the school, namely the media and infrastructure. (2) The principal has successfully carried out his role as a manager during the covid-19 pandemic and endemic transition. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the principal prepares and informs every training that is needed by teachers during the pandemic and recommends it in accordance with the majors taught and owned by teachers so that it can run linearly, in addition, teachers also independently find out every training that is held and also share it through the MGMP Association group Chat (subject teacher consultation) to improve teacher competence during the pandemic and covid-19 endemic transition. (3) The principal successfully carried out his role as administrator, the principal always monitored every teacher and staff absences every day to monitor the performance of teachers and staff. The principal monitors every hour of school entrance time when there are teachers and school staff who are late coming to school the principal firmly gives reprimands and evaluations to teachers and finds out the obstacles that occur. (4) The principal has carried out his role well as a leader by emphasizing attitude, supervision and also responsibility in every activity related to a leader for every teacher, staff and student at vi school. The principal uses an approach by setting an example to teachers, staff and students directly without having to reprimand and inform teachers, staff and students so that every citizen of the school itself follows and imitates. (5) The principal has successfully carried out his role as an innovator during the pandemic and the transition to endemic Covid-19. The principal has carried out his role as an innovator well one of the breakthroughs made by schools in Vocational Highschool PGRI 1 South Tambun through PPDB which is carried out Online through the website this helps schools in getting the number of student registrations and students effectively and can reduce school marketing costs in printing pamphlets and promotions to prospective students. (6.) The principal has conducted the supervision process well. The principal routinely conducts supervision activities that are carried out every 6 months at the end of each semester by conducting joint and personal meetings for each teacher and school staff to find out the obstacles experienced and find the right solutions to overcome them. (7) The principal has done his role as a motivator well. In providing motivation to every staff and teacher in the school, the principal approaches by often greeting and asking about every situation of teachers and staff every day, the principal is also considered to often create a good atmosphere for every teacher and student by not providing separation and distance so that they can get closer to know the principal at Vocational High School PGRI 1 South Tambun. (8) in addition to administrative activities such as attendance of the principal has also provided solutions to students and students who experience problems with the economy, in Vocational High School PGRI 1 South Tambun the principal applies a savings system or mandatory contributions for students and students in Vocational High School PGRI 1 South Tambun of Rp. 50.000, - Rupiah every month the money is used to cover the cost of tuition fees for every student and student at school and can be used as an emergency fund for schools when needed. In addition to these funds, the school also receives donation funds provided by the foundation for students and students who experience economic problems.
