Abstract

Seni menghias kuku (Nail art) adalah jenis karya yang dilakukan pada kuku tangan dan kuku kaki. Saat ini desain yang diminati dalam seni menghias kuku (Nail Art) adalah desain dengan motif yang lebih modern. Oleh karna itu, penulis dan penelitiann ini bertujuan untuk melestarika kebudayaan tradisional yang dapat dipadukan dengan budaya modern serta untuk mengenalkan kebudayaan batik lontara yang belum banyak orang ketahui. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Pra-eksperimen dan pengamatan langsung pada hasil akhir desain seni menghias kuku dengan motif batik lontara. Dengan mengumpulkan penilaian yang mencakup aspek kerataan, tekstur, kerapihan, ketajaman warna dan tingkat kesukaan, penelitian ini dibagikan kepada satu dosen ahli materi dan juga satu nail artist. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian Desain Nail Art dengan Motif Batik Lontara, desain I memperoleh nilai rata-rata 86 dan desain II memperoleh nilai rata-rata 87,25 yang artinya kedua desain mendapatkan penilaian pada kategori baik. ***** Nail art is a type of work done on the fingernails and toenails. Currently the designs that are in demand in the art of decorating nails (Nail Art) are designs with more modern motifs. Therefore, the author and this research aim to preserve traditional culture which can be combined with modern culture and to introduce Lontara batik culture which not many people know about. The research data was obtained using the pre-experimental research method and direct observation of the final result of the nail art design with Lontara batik motifs. By collecting assessments covering aspects of evenness, texture, tidiness, color sharpness and level of preference, this research was distributed to one material expert lecturer and also one nail artist. Based on the results of the assessment of Nail Art Designs with Lontara Batik Motifs, design I obtained an average score of 86 and design II obtained an average value of 87.25, which means that both designs received an assessment in the good category.
