Abstract

ABSTRAK English for Specific Purposes (ESP) atau Bahasa Inggris untuk kebutuhan Khusus merupakan mata kuliah bahasa Inggris yang diperuntukkan bagi mahasiswa non jurusan bahasa Inggris. Pembelajaran ESP meliputi empat kompetensi bahasa Inggris dengan konsentrasi kompetensi bahasa yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development atau R and D dengan menggunakan ADDIE model, yakni Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 104 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (PTIK) Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Muhammadiyah Kuningan. Data dikumpulkan dari mahasiswa melalui pembagian soal. Soal-soal tersebut didasarkan pada tiga aspek yaitu kebutuhan, kekurangan, kebutuhan belajar, dan keinginan. Selanjutnya instrumen berupa lembar validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli digunakan untuk mengetahui kelayakan model bahan ajar ESP menggunakan LMS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis kebutuhan sebagai dasar pengembangan model pembelajaran merupakan titik tolak. Hal ini diperlukan untuk dapat membantu mengidentifikasi kesenjangan pengetahuan di antara mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahap analyze mendapatkan informasi terkait kebutuhan bahan ajar bagi mahasiswa, tahap design memperispkan pola bahan ajar yang tepat untuk diberikan, tahap pengembangan berkaitan dengan reviu dan tindak lanjut untuk pengembangan model bahan ajar, tahap implementasi merupakan aplikasi dari ketiga tahapan sebelumnya dan diakhiri dengan evaluasi berkaitan dengan aspek kelayakan yang dapat dilihat dari pre-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai mean, median, minimum, dan maksimum adalah 59,32, 60, 30, dan 80. Terdapat perbedaan mean antara hasil pre-test dan post-test, artinya bahan ajar ESP yang diajarkan melalui blended learning memberi dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil Paired Sample Test diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) nilainya 0,00 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak, dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulannya, terdapat perbedaan rerata antara pre-test dan post-test, sehingga bahan ajar yang diajarkan melalui blended leraning berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Kata kunci: ESP, Pengembangan Bahan Ajar, Blended learning, LMS ABSTRACT English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a course designed for non-English major students. ESP focuses on four English language competencies tailored to the students' needs. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research sample consists of 104 students from the Information and Communication Technology Education Program (PTIK) at Muhammadiyah Kuningan Teacher Training and Education Higher School (STKIP). Data was collected from the students through the distribution of questionnaires. The questions were based on three aspects: needs, lack, and want. Furthermore, a validation sheet was used by experts to assess the suitability of the ESP instructional model using a Learning Management System (LMS). The research findings indicate that the analysis of needs serves as the foundation for instructional model development, which helps identify knowledge gaps among students. The results show that the analysis phase provides information regarding the instructional material needs of the students, the design phase prepares the appropriate instructional patterns, the development phase involves review and follow-up actions for instructional material development, the implementation phase applies the previous three stages, and the evaluation phase focuses on the feasibility aspect. The pre-test results, with a mean score of 59.32, median of 60, minimum of 30, and maximum of 80, indicate a difference in mean between the pre-test and post-test scores. This suggests that the ESP instructional material taught through blended learning has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. Based on the Paired Sample Test, the obtained significance value (2-tailed) is 0.00 < 0.05, rejecting the null hypothesis (H0) and accepting the alternative hypothesis (Ha). In conclusion, there is a significant difference in the mean scores between the pre-test and post-test, indicating that the instructional material taught through blended learning has an influence on student learning outcomes.
