Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara efikasi diri dengan keraguan karir pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 154 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan proportional random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah General Self Efficacy Scale (GSES) yang dikembangkan oleh Schwarzer dan Jerusalem (1995) dan diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Novrianto, Marretih, dan Wahyudi (2019) dan Career Decision Scale (CDS) yang dikembangkan oleh Osipow, Carney, dan Barak (1976) dan diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh Darmasaputro dan Gunawan (2018). Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa semua item valid. Hasil uji reliabilitas instrumen GSES menunjukkan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,929 sedangkan instrumen CDS menunjukkan nilai koefisien sebesar 0,807. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tingkat efikasi diri rendah dengan persentase 48% dan tingkat keraguan karir siswa tinggi dengan persentase 52%. Aspek terendah pada variabel efikasi diri adalah aspek generality dengan persentase 25% dan aspek tertinggi pada variabel keraguan karir adalah aspek external barrier dengan persentase 38%. Hasil analisis dengan uji korelasi menunjukkan korelasi negatif sebesar -783 dengan tingkat signifikan 5% yang dinyatakan bahwa semakin rendah efikasi diri maka semakin tinggi keraguan karir siswa. Siswa dengan efikasi diri tinggi cenderung percaya pada kemampuannya sendiri untuk berhasil dalam bidang karir tertentu. Keyakinan ini dapat mengurangi keraguan karir dan cenderung lebih termotivasi dan percaya diri dalam memilih karir. Sebaliknya, siswa dengan efikasi diri rendah cenderung merasa tidak yakin dengan kemampuannya untuk mencapai kesuksesan dalam bidang karir yang diminatinya. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan keraguan karir siswa dalam mengambil keputusan karir. ***** This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and career indecision in class XI students of SMA Negeri 14 Jakarta. The research method used is the correlational method. A sample of 154 students was selected using proportional random sampling. The instrument used were the General Self Efficacy Scale (GSES) developed by Schwarzer and Jerusalem (1995) and adapted by Novrianto, Marretih, and Wahyudi (2019) and the Career Decision Scale (CDS) developed by Osipow, Carney, and Barak (1976) and adapted by Darmasaputro and Gunawan (2018). The results of the validity test show that all items are valid. The results of the reliability test of the GSES instrument showed a coefficient value of 0.929 while the CDS instrument showed a coefficient value of 0.807. The results of the analysis show a low level of self-efficacy level of 48% and a high level of student career indecision level of 52%. The lowest aspect on the self-efficacy variable is the generality level of 25% and the highes aspect on the career indecision variable is the external barrier level of 38%. The results of the correlation analysis between the variables self-efficacy and career indecision show a negative correlation of -783. With a significant level of 5%. Students with high self-efficacy believe in their ability to succeed in certain careers, this can reduce career indecision and increase motivation and confidence in choosing a career. Students with low self-efficacy feel unsure about their ability to achieve success in the career they are interested in. This can increase students career indecision.
