Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model flipped classroom terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis kelas VI Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Posttest-Only Control Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI di SDN Pela Mampang 05, Kelurahan Pela Mampang, Jakarta Selatan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dari populasi yang ditetapkan yaitu SD Negeri di Kelurahan Pela Mampang. Terdapat dua rombongan belajar, terpilih kelas VI-B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VI-A sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model Flipped classroom dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model ekspositori. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal uraian yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Instrumen tersebut juga diuji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji persyaratan data. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan rumus independent sample t-test. Hasil uji hipotesis memperoleh nilai thitung (4,30) > ttabel (1,67). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran flipped classroom memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VI SD. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. ***** This study aims to determined the effect of using the flipped classroom model on mathematical problem solving ability of 6th grade primary school. This research used a quantitative experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Design research design. The sample in this study were all grade VI students at the Pela Mampang 05 South of Jakarta Public Primary School. The technique of getting the sample was simple random sampling technique from the specified population, namely public primary schools in Pela Mampang Village. There were two study groups, class VI-B was selected as the experimental class and class VI-A as the control class. The experimental class used the Flipped classroom model and the control class used the expository model. Data were collected used a test instrument in the form of description questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. The instrument was also tested for normality and homogeneity as a data requirement test. Furthermore, hypothesis analysis was carried out using t-test with independent sample t-test formula. The results of the hypothesis test obtained the value of tcount (4,30) > ttable (1,67). This showed that the flipped classroom learning model has an influence on the mathematical problem solving ability of grade VI primary school students. Therefore, teachers need to choose appropriate learning models to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities.
