Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dosen Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) di Indonesia terhadap teknologi Building Information Modelling (BIM), persepsi dosen Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) di Indonesia apabila teknologi BIM diajarkan di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB), serta perbedaan persepsi dosen Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) di Indonesia terkait teknologi Building Information Modelling (BIM) apabila dibandingkan berdasarkan program studi dari masing-masing universitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel dosen aktif Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan di Indonesia untuk tahun ajaran 2022/2023 dengan total keseluruhan sampel berjumlah 37 orang dosen. Persepsi dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan ditinjau berdasarkan penerimaan dosen terhadap teknologi BIM dalam dua pokok bahasan yakni persepsi dosen terhadap teknologi BIM, serta persepsi dosen apabila teknologi BIM diajarkan di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan. Pokok bahasan pertama, yakni penerimaan dosen terhadap teknologi BIM, diukur pada indikator yang mengacu pada konstruk persepsi kemudahan penggunaan (Perceive Ease Of Use / PEOU) serta persepsi manfaat (Perceive Of Usefulness / PU). Pokok bahasan kedua, yakni penerimaan dosen apabila teknologi BIM diajarkan di Prodi PTB, indikator dibatasi pada konstruk sikap penggunaan sistem (Attitude toward Using) dan niat perilaku penggunaan (Behavioral Intention To Use / INTEN). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan terhadap teknologi Building information modelling (BIM) maupun apabila Teknologi BIM diajarkan di Prodi PTB didominasi oleh persepsi positif. Mayoritas dosen menganggap bahwa konsep BIM dapat dipelajari dan dipahami dengan mudah, informasi mengenai BIM dapat dengan mudah diakses, serta BIM bermanfaat bagi efektivitas, efisiensi, dan produktivitas dosen. Dosen juga mempersepsikan bahwa penggunaan teknologi BIM sangat dibutuhkan di era ini, dan mayoritas dosen prodi PTB sudah memiliki dorongan untuk mengajarkan BIM kepada mahasiswanya. ***** This research aims to investigate the perceptions of Building Engineering Education (BEE) lecturers in Indonesia regarding Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology, the perceptions of BEE lecturers in Indonesia when BIM technology is integrated into the Building Technology Education curriculum, and the differences in perceptions among BEE lecturers in Indonesia concerning Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology based on the specific academic programs of their respective universities. The study employs a quantitative descriptive method, utilizing a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The sample for this research consists of active lecturers from Building Technology Education programs in Indonesia for the academic year 2022/2023, with a total sample size of 37 lecturers. The perceptions of BEE lecturers are assessed based on two main areas of interest: their acceptance of BIM technology and their perceptions when BIM technology is taught within the Building Engineering Education curriculum. The first area, acceptance of BIM technology, is measured through indicators related to the Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and Perceived Usefulness (PU) of BIM. The second area, perceptions when BIM technology is taught within the BEE program, is limited to constructs such as Attitude Toward System Usage (ATU) and Behavioral Intention to Use (INTEN). The research findings indicate that the perceptions of Building Engineering Education lecturers regarding Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology, as well as their perceptions when BIM technology is integrated into the BEE curriculum, are predominantly positive. The majority of lecturers believe that the concept of BIM can be easily learned and understood, information about BIM is readily accessible, and BIM is beneficial for the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of lecturers. Lecturers also perceive that the use of BIM technology is highly relevant in the current era, and a significant portion of BEE lecturers are motivated to teach BIM to their students.
