Abstract

Individu dewasa transisi memiliki tekanan untuk mencari pekerjaan. Berkaitan dengan hal ini, welas diri (self-compassion) dapat membantu individu tersebut untuk mengatasi kesulitannya. Penelitian ini berusaha melihat apakah kepribadian big five dapat memprediksi welas diri. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan terjemahan instrumen self-compassion scale (SCS) dan big five inventory-2 (BFI-2) yang disebar melalui berbagai media sosial dalam bentuk kuesioner. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 112 orang berusia 18–25 (dengan 52 laki-laki dan 60 perempuan) yang didapatkan dengan metode convenience sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi berganda, ditemukan bahwa kepribadian big five memengaruhi welas diri sebesar 34,7% (R2 = .347), dengan hanya dimensi negative emotionality yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara negatif. In relation to this matter, self-compassion can aid these individuals in overcoming their challenges. This study aims to examine whether the Big Five personality traits can predict self-compassion. The research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing the translated instruments of the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) and the Big Five Inventory-2 (BFI-2), distributed through various social media platforms in the form of questionnaires. The sample for this study comprises 112 individuals aged 18–25 (with 52 males and 60 females) obtained through convenience sampling. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis, it was found that the Big Five personality traits influence self-compassion by 34.7% (R2 = .347), with only the negative emotionality dimension having a significant negative impact.
