Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran IPA melalui model Contextual Teaching and Learning pada siswa kelas V-A SDN Manggarai 01 Jakarta Selatan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) atau Classroom Action Research (CAR) dengan teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi menggunakan lembar pemantau tindakan guru dan siswa, lembar evaluasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian kemampuan berpikir kritis yang telah dilakukan pada muatan pelajaran IPA di kelas V SDN Manggarai 01 Jakarta Selatan dengan menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning, pada siklus I kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mendapat persentase 50% dan pada siklus II diperoleh 85,7% sehingga peningkatan yang terjadi sebanyak 35,7%. dan berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian tiap silklus, dapat disimpulkan bahwa jika pembelajaran menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning maka kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V SDN Manggarai 01 Jakarta Selatan dapat meningkat. ***** This study aims to improved critical thinking skills in science learning through the Contextual Teaching and Learning model for class V-A students at SDN Manggarai 01, South Jakarta. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with data collection techniques by observation using teacher and student action monitoring sheets, evaluation sheets, and documentation. The results of the research on critical thinking skills that have been carried out on science content in class V at SDN Manggarai 01 South Jakarta using the contextual teaching and learning model, in the first cycle the students' critical thinking skills got a percentage of 50% and in the second cycle it was obtained 85.7% so that the increase occurred as much as 35.7%. and based on the results of the research in each cycle, it can be concluded that if learning uses the contextual teaching and learning model, the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SDN Manggarai 01 South Jakarta can increase.
