Abstract

Perkembangan zaman yang cepat berubah dan tak terduga menuntut individu untuk terus bergerak. Sebagian individu menyambut dengan senang perubahan yang terjadi, sebagian lagi mengalami kendala untuk menyesuaikan diri pada perubahan dan masa transisi. Saat ini angka pengangguran tertinggi di Indonesia masih didominasi oleh lulusan sekolah menengah kejuruan. Alasannya bukan semata hanya keterampilan yang mereka miliki tidak mumpuni melainkan ketidaksiapan mental mereka menghadapi dunia kerja. Kesulitan beradaptasi menjadi salah satu faktor jumlah siswa kelas X di SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta mengalami penurunan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran adaptabilitas karier siswa kelas X di SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan adaptasi instrumen Career and Work Adaptability Questionnaire (CWAQ). Responden penelitian berjumlah 190 responden yang seluruhnya siswa kelas X di SMKN 31 Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat adaptabilitas karier siswa kelas X di SMKN 31 Jakarta memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 121.6 dari skor maksimum 155. Hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa kelas X sudah mampu beradaptasi dengan baik di sekolah. Kemampuan adaptabilitas karier ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan mengikuti pelatihan pilihan vokasional dan konseling karier. Pada tahun pertama layanan perencanaan individual penting dilakukan guna mengkonstruk tujuan karier siswa. ***** The fast-changing and unpredictable development of the times requires individuals to keep moving. Some individuals welcome the changes that occur, while others experience obstacles to adjusting to changes and transitions. Currently, the highest unemployment rate in Indonesia is still dominated by vocational high school graduates. The reason is not only the skills they are not qualified for but their mental unpreparedness to face the world of work. Difficulty adapting is one of the factors in the number of 10th-grade students at SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta decreasing. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of career adaptability of 10th-grade students at SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta. The method in this research utilizes a descriptive quantitative. Data collection involved the adaptation of the Career and Work Adaptability Questionnaire (CWAQ) instrument. The research respondents totaled 190 respondents who were all 10th-grade students at SMKN 31 Jakarta. The results showed that the level of career adaptability of 10th-grade students at SMKN 31 Jakarta obtained an average score of 121.6 from a maximum score of 155. These results can be concluded that most 10th-grade students have been able to adapt well at school. Students' career adaptability can be improved by attending vocational training and career counseling. In the first year, individual planning is important to construct students' career goals
