Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara moralitas dan self esteem dengan perilaku sexting di kalangan mahasiswa FIP UNJ. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasi berganda dan korelasi sederhana dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu 100 mahasiswa aktif usia 18-21 tahun dengan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Instrumen Skala Moralitas yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti tahun 2023, Self Esteem Rosenberg Scale (RSES) yang dikembangkan oleh Rosenberg pada (1965), dan Sexting Behaviors Questionnaire (SBQ) yang diadaptasi oleh Rahardjo dkk (2015) berdasarkan konsep Gordon-Messer (2013). Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara moralitas dan self esteem terhadap perilaku sexting pada mahasiswa FIP UNJ dengan koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0.413 dan nilai Sig. 0.000 (< 0.05). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa moralitas dan self esteem berhubungan secara signifikan dengan perilaku sexting sebesar 41%. Selanjutnya pada instrument moralitas didapati aspek tertinggi adalah orientasi kontrak sosial dengan skor 22.02 dan terendah adalah aspek prinsip etika universal dengan skor 16.41. Pada instrument RSES didapati aspek tertinggi adalah penerimaan diri dengan skor 21.96 dan terendah adalah aspek penghormatan diri dengan skor 15.43. Terakhir, pada instrument SBQ aspek tertingginya adalah menerima pesan seksual dengan skor 8.02 dan aspek terendah adalah mengirim pesan dengan skor 6.11. Hal ini menandakan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa FIP UNJ bukanlah pelaku sexting dua arah (twoway sexters). Sehingga untuk mencegah keterlibatan mahasiswa FIP UNJ dalam perilaku sexting, dapat dilakukan layanan pencegahan seperti seminar mengenai bahaya dan dampak negatif dari perilaku sexting. ***** This study aims to analyse the relationship between morality and self esteem with sexting behaviour among FIP UNJ students. This study uses multiple correlation and simple correlation methods with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 100 active students aged 18-21 years with purposive sampling method. The data collection tools used are the Morality Scale Instrument developed by researchers in 2023, the Self Esteem Rosenberg Scale (RSES) developed by Rosenberg in (1965), and the Sexting Behaviors Questionnaire (SBQ) adapted by Rahardjo et al (2015) based on the concept of Gordon-Messer (2013). The results stated that there was a relationship between morality and self esteem towards sexting behaviour in FIP UNJ students with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.413 and a Sig value. 0.000 (< 0.05). This indicates that morality and self esteem are significantly related to sexting behaviours by 41%. The highest aspect is social contract orientation with a score of 22.02 and the lowest aspect is universal ethical principles with a score of 16.41. On the RSES instrument, the highest aspect is self-acceptance with a score of 21.96 and the lowest is the aspect of self-respect with a score of 15.43. The highest aspect was receiving sexual messages with a score of 8.02 and the lowest aspect was sending messages with a score of 6.11. This indicates that the majority of FIP UNJ students are not twoway sexters. To prevent the involvement of FIP UNJ students in sexting behaviour, prevention services such as seminars on the dangers and negative consequences of sexting behaviour can be conducted.
