Abstract
***** This research was motivated by the level of critical thinking ability in the subject matter of the body's defense system, most students were quite low due to one of them with the learning model applied limited to teacher direction. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the 7E integrated problem based learning cycle model on students' critical thinking skills on the body's defense system material. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of quasi-experimental design research and nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study is all grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Cikarang Selatan for the 2022/2023 academic year with a research sample of 68 students using simple random sampling techniques. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class improved better with a gain score of 29.75, while the control class was 18.95. The results of the hypothesis test show that there is an influence of the 7E integrated problem based learning model on students' critical thinking skills on the body's defense system material seen from the results of a significance value of 0.008 greater than the significance level of 5% (α = 0,05). Therefore, the model can be used as an alternative in improving critical thinking skills, especially in the body's defense system material.
