Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur kepribadian id, ego, dan superego serta wujud mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama yaitu Ong Djing Fei atau Lydia dalam novel Dari dalam Kubur karya Soe Tjen Marching yang dianalisis menggunakan kacamata psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Adapun tujuan khusus penelitian ini antara lain; (1) mendeskripsikan unsur tokoh dan penokohan dalam novel Dari Dalam Kubur karya Soe Tjen Marching, (2) mendeskripsikan struktur kepribadian dari tokoh Ong Djing Fei yang digambarkan dalam novel Dari Dalam Kubur karya Soe Tjen Marching, serta (3) mengidentifikasi mekanisme pertahanan diri yang dilakukan oleh tokoh Ong Djing Fei berdasarkan aspek-aspek psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara mendeskripsikan, menganalisis, serta studi pustaka menggunakan data yang telah dikumpulkan dengan teknik baca, teknik catat, dan teknik analisis data yang terdiri dari kata, kalimat, maupun ungkapan yang terdapat pada novel Dari dalam Kubur karya Soe Tjen Marching sebagai data pendukung dengan menggunakan teori psikoanalisis kepribadian yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan teori mekanisme pertahanan diri. Sehingga nanti akan didapatkan korelasi serta dinamika dari psikologi kepribadian tokoh Ong Djing Fei yang memengaruhi tokoh melakukan mekanisme pertahanan diri terhadap konflik yang dialami. Kata kunci: Struktur kepribadian, Mekanisme pertahanan diri, Ong Djing Fei, Novel Dari Dalam Kubur. ***** This study aims to determine the personality structure of id, ego, and superego as well as the form of self-defense mechanisms carried out by the main character, Ong Djing Fei or Lydia in the novel Dari dalam Kubur by Soe Tjen Marching which is analyzed using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis glasses. The specific objectives of this study include; (1) describing the elements of character and characterization in the novel Dari Dalam Kubur by Soe Tjen Marching, (2) describing the personality structure of the character Ong Djing Fei described in the novel Dari Dalam Kubur by Soe Tjen Marching, and (3) identifying the self-defense mechanisms carried out by the character Ong Djing Fei based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic aspects. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method by describing, analyzing, and literature study using data that has been collected using reading techniques, note taking techniques, and data analysis techniques consisting of words, sentences, and expressions contained in the novel Dari dalam Kubur by Soe Tjen Marching as supporting data using the theory of personality psychoanalysis which is then continued with the theory of self-defense mechanisms. So that later the correlation and dynamics of Ong Djing Fei's personality psychology will be obtained which influences the character to carry out self-defense mechanisms against the conflict experienced.
