Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk kohesi gramatikal dalam novel Orang-orang Biasa Karya Andrea Hirata; (2) mendeskripsikan bentuk kohesi leksikal dalam novel Orang-orang Biasa Karya Andrea Hirata; (3) mendeskripsikan bentuk koherensi dalam novel Orang-orang Biasa Karya Andrea Hirata. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode baca dan teknik catat. Sumber data diperoleh dari novel Orang-Orang Biasa karya Andrea Hirata cetakan pertama tahun 2019. Teknik analisis data berupa pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) aspek kohesi gramatikal, diperoleh adanya substitusi nominal, konjungsi adversatif, konjungsi aditif, konjungsi kasualitas, elipsis klausal, dan referensi pronomina persona; (2) aspek kohesi leksikal, diperoleh adanya repetisi pengulangan sama tepat, sinonim, hiponim, meronim, antonim, dan ekuivalensi leksikal; (3) aspek koherensi, diperoleh adanya koherensi hubungan ibarat, hubungan amplikatif, hubungan generik-spesifik, hubungan sebab-akibat, hubungan latar-simpulan, hubungan akibat-sebab, hubungan kelonggaran-hasil, dan hubungan alasan-tindakan. Kata kunci: Kohesi Gramatikal, Kohesi Leksikal, Koherensi, Novel Orang-orang Biasa Karya Andrea Hirata. ***** This research aims to (1) describe the forms of grammatical cohesion in the novel Orang-Orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata; (2) describe the forms of lexical cohesion in the novel Orang-Orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata; (3) describe the forms of coherence in the novel Orang-Orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata. The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive approach. The data collection technique is done by reading method and note-taking technique. The data source was obtained from the novel Orang-Orang Biasa by Andrea Hirata, first printed in 2019. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show (1) grammatical cohesion aspects, obtained nominal substitution, adversative conjunction, additive conjunction, conjunction of causality, clausal ellipsis, and personal pronominal reference; (2) lexical cohesion aspects, obtained repetition of the same exact repetition, synonymy, hyponymy, meronymy, antonymy, and lexical equivalence; (3) coherence aspect, the coherence of likeness relation, amplicative relation, generic-specific relation, cause-effect relation, setting-conclusion relation, cause-effect relation, allowance-result relation, and reason-action relation are obtained.
