Abstract

Kecemburuan romantis ialah perspektif individu terhadap adanya ancaman yang memicu timbulnya kekhawatiran akan kesetiaan pasangan. Kecemburuan muncul karena tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan emosional dari pasangan. Kecemburuan yang dirasakan individu dapat memengaruhi perspektif akan seberapa puas individu terhadap hubungannya. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh dari kecemburuan romantis terhadap kepuasan hubungan pada emerging adulthood yang menjalani pacaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Total sampel yang terlibat sebanyak 197 Hresponden emerging adulthood yang sedang berpacaran jarak jauh. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS) dan Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh kecemburuan romantis terhadap kepuasan hubungan pada emerging adulthood yang sedang menjalani pacaran jarak jauh. Romantic jealousy is an individual's perspective on a threat that triggers concerns about a partner's loyalty. Jealousy arises due to the unfulfilled emotional needs of the partner. The jealousy an individual feels can affect how satisfied the individual is with the relationship. Thus, this study aims to find out how romantic jealousy affects relationship satisfaction in emerging adulthood who undergo long-distance relationship. This study used a quantitative approach with a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The total sample involved was 197 emerging adulthood respondents who were dating over a long-distance relationship. The instruments used are the Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS) and the Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS). The results of the study show that there no effect between romantic jealousy to relationship satisfaction in emerging adulthood who undergo a long-distance relationship.
