Abstract
This research aims to investigate the influence of self-compassion on post-traumatic growth in emerging adult women who have experienced dating violence. The research sample consists of 256 women aged 18 to 25 years who have experienced at least one form of violence during their dating relationships. This study adopts a quantitative approach using the Post-traumatic growth Inventory-Expanded to measure post-traumatic growth and the Self-compassion Scale to measure selfcompassion. The findings of the research indicate a positive relationship between self-compassion and post-traumatic growth in emerging adult women who have experienced dating violence. This implies that being open and kind to oneself in the face of past suffering can contribute to positive psychological growth as a result of coping with traumatic experiences. The discoveries in this study are expected to aid women who are victims of dating violence in enhancing their self-compassion and awareness that they deserve happiness just like anyone else, regardless of the traumatic events they have experienced.
