Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh future time perspective terhadap kecemasan karir mahasiswa tingkat akhir PTN/PTS di wilayah Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 443 responden dengan Teknik non-probability sampling dan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu Future Time Perspective Indonesian Version yang berjumlah 10 item dan Career Anxiety Scale (CAS) yang berjumlah 25 item. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat oengaruh antara future time perspective terhadap kecemasan karir pada mahasiswa. Adapun besaran pengaruh yang diberikan variable future time perspective terhadap variabel kecemasan karir, yaitu sebanyak 9%. Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi, future time perspective diketahui mempengaruhi kecemasan karir secara negatif, maka, semakin tinggi tingkat future time perspective, kecemasan karir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam menghadapi peluang kerja akan mengalami penurunan, begitu juga dengan sebaliknya. This research aims to determine the influence of future time perspective on career anxiety among final-year students of state and private universities in Jakarta, following the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis. The sample in this study consisted of 443 respondents using non-probability sampling and purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used in this research are the Future Time Perspective Indonesian Version, which consists of 10 items, and the Career Anxiety Scale (CAS), which consists of 25 items. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between future time perspective and career anxiety among students. The magnitude of the influence of the future time perspective variable on the career anxiety variable is 9%. Based on the regression analysis results, it is known that future time perspective negatively affects career anxiety. Therefore, the higher the level of future time perspective, the lower the career anxiety among final-year students in facing job opportunities, and vice versa.
