Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan body dissatisfaction dengan parenting stress pada ibu yang memiliki anak batita. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Variabel parenting stress diukur dengan instrumen Parental Stress Scale (PSS) milik Berry & Jones (1995), dan variabel body dissatisfaction diukur dengan instrumen Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) milik Cooper, Taylor, & Fairburn (1987). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan antara body dissatisfaction dengan parenting stress pada ibu yang memiliki anak batita. This study aims to find out the correlation of body dissatisfaction and parenting stress in mothers with infants under three years old. This study uses quantitative approach and uses simple regression analysis to test the hypothesis. The parenting stress variable was measured by Parental Stress Scale (PSS) instrument by Berry & Jones (1995), and the body dissatisfaction variable was measured by Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) instrument by Cooper, Taylor, & Fairburn (1987). The result of this study is that there is no correlation between body dissatisfaction and parenting stress in mothers who have infants under three years old.
