Abstract

ABSTRAK Hubungan berpacaran digunakan dewasa awal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan intimasi pada tugas perkembangannya. Kekerasan emosional merupakan permasalahan yang mungkin terjadi dalam hubungan berpacaran dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap perilaku kekerasan emosional dalam pacaran pada dewasa awal dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 298 orang dewasa awal. Instrumen kekerasan emosional yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Multidimensional Measure Emotional Abuse-Short Form (MMEA-SF) dengan koefisien Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,877 dan instrumen regulasi emosi yang digunakan adalah The Difficulties Emotion Regulation Scale-16 (DERS-16) dengan koefisien Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,946 yang diperoleh melalui uji coba instrumen kepada 60 orang yang sesuai dengan kriteria subjek penelitian ini. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana melalui SPSS. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap kekerasan emosional dalam pacaran pada dewasa awal sebesar 74,1% dengan hubungan yang negatif (F (1,296) = [847,31], p < 0,05). Semakin tinggi regulasi emosi semakin rendah perilaku kekerasan emosional dalam pacaran pada dewasa awal. Kata kunci: Kekerasan emosional, regulasi emosi, hubungan berpacaran, dewasa awal. ABSTRACT Dating relationships are used by young adults to fulfill the need for intimacy in their developmental tasks. Emotional abuse is a problem that may occur in dating relationships in solving the problems faced. The purpose of this study was to find out how the influence of emotional regulation on emotional abuse behavior in dating in early adulthood with a quantitative approach. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 298 early adults. The emotional abuse instrument used in this study was the Multidimensional Measure Emotional Abuse-Short Form (MMEA-SF) with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.877 and the emotion regulation instrument used was The Difficulties Emotion Regulation Scale-16 (DERS-16) with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.946 which was obtained through instrument trials on 60 people who fit the criteria of this research subject. Data analysis in this study used simple regression analysis via SPSS. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of emotional regulation on emotional abuse in courtship in early adulthood by 74.1% with a negative relationship (F (1.296) = [847.31], p <0.05). The higher the emotional regulation, the lower the emotional abuse behavior in dating in early adulthood. Keywords: Emotional abuse, emotion regulation, dating relationship, early adulthood.
