Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap orientasi karir pada siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah kuantitatif. Sampel yang ada pada penelitian ini berjumlah 161 partisipan dipilih dengan menggunakan incindental sampling. Terdapat dua instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu 12 item Multidimensional Scale of Perceived of Social Support (MSPS) oleh Zimet (1988) dan alat ukur 24 item orientasi karir oleh Jesus Bravo (2015). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan positif dari dimensi-dimensi dukungan sosial seperti dukungan keluarga sebesar 7,4% dan dukungan teman sebesar 10,1%, dan tidak ditemukan pengaruh signifikan pada dimensi dukungan orang yang spesial. Kata Kunci: Dukungan sosial, Orientasi Karir, Siswa This study was conducted with the purpose of understanding the influence of social support on career orientation among high school students. The research method utilized for this study is quantitative. The sample size for this research consists of 161 participants who were selected using incidental sampling. There are two instruments employed in this research: 12 item of the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPS) by Zimet (1988) and 24 item of the career orientation measurement tool by Jesus Bravo (2015). The research findings reveal that there is a significant positive influence from dimensions of social support such as family support by 7,4% and friend support by 10,1%. However, no significant influence was found in the dimension of support from significant others. Keywords: Social support, Career Orientation, Students
