Abstract

Pandemi virus COVID-19 merupakan keadaan ketika virus COVID-19 penyebab penyakit COVID-19 berasal dari Kota Wuhan, Cina di Desember 2019 lalu menyebar dengan cepat ke seluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia hingga pemerintah melakukan lockdown. Selang dua tahun lamanya pemerintah perketat kegiatan 5M dan pelaksanaan vaksinasi hingga berhasil menurunkan penyebarannya. Maka pemerintah memperbolehkan masyarakat melakukan kegiatan seperti sebelum Pandemi COVID-19. Hal tersebut dituangkan dalam picture book untuk menggambarkan selama pandemi COVID-19 sebagai langkah preventif jika virus COVID-19 terjadi kembali. Penelitian menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan pendekatan riset research-led practice. Dimana melakukan research yang ada dilapangan terlebih dahulu dari berbagai sumber informasi berita dan mencari buku bacaan yang bertema COVID-19, serta melakukan observasi maupun kuesioner. Masyarakat menganggap bahwa virus COVID-19 telah hilang, namun pada kenyataannya masih ada yang terkena virus COVID-19. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dorongan akan kesadaran bagaimana pentingnya dalam menjaga diri dari virus COVID-19. Picture book mengenai pandemi virus COVID-19 ini ditujukan kepada masyarakat terutama remaja berusia 15-18 tahun, divisualisasikan menggunakan software Medibang Paint Pro dan Adobe Illustrator buat ilustrasi digital dengan gaya pribadi yaitu campuran kartun dan manga. Picture book ini dicetak bentuk doff hardcover berukuran B5 dibuat menjadi dua seri. Seri pertama berjudul "Back To 2019, The Virus COVID-19" dan seri kedua berjudul "Back To 2019, New Normal". Secara konsep cerita seri kedua melanjutkan karya seri pertama menggunakan kronologi terjadinya pandemi COVID-19. Sumber inspirasi dari keluarga perupa, yaitu ayah kepala RT, ibu anggota Satgas COVID-19 di daerah Curug, Bogor, dan paman dokter tahun 2022 meninggal dunia akibat terkena COVID-19. ***** The COVID-19 virus pandemic is a situation when the COVID-19 virus that causes COVID-19 disease originated in Wuhan City, China in December 2019 and spread rapidly throughout the world including Indonesia until the government carried out a lockdown. After two years, the government tightened the 5M activities and the implementation of vaccinations until it succeeded in reducing the spread. Then the government allowed people to carry out activities like before the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is outlined in a picture book to illustrate during the COVID-19 pandemic as a preventive measure if the COVID-19 virus occurs again. The research uses a qualitative methodology with a research-led practice research approach. Where conducting research in the field first from various sources of news information and looking for reading books with the theme of COVID-19, as well as conducting observations and questionnaires. People think that the COVID-19 virus has disappeared, but in reality there are still those affected by the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage awareness of how important it is to protect yourself from the COVID-19 virus. This picture book about the COVID-19 virus pandemic is aimed at the public, especially teenagers aged 15-18 years, visualized using Medibang Paint Pro and Adobe Illustrator software to create digital illustrations with a personal style, namely a mixture of cartoons and manga. This picture book is printed in the form of a B5 hardcover doff made into two series. The first series is titled "Back To 2019, The Virus COVID-19" and the second series is titled "Back To 2019, New Normal". Conceptually, the second series continues the work of the first series using the chronology of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The source of inspiration is the artist's family, namely the father who is the head of the neighborhood association, the mother who is a member of the COVID-19 Task Force in the Curug area, Bogor, and the doctor's uncle who passed away in 2022 due to COVID-19.
