Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Nearpod interactive media on the ability to write short story texts in class XI SMA Pelita Tiga Jakarta. The method used in this study is an experimental method using a one group pretest posttest design. The sample of this research is 30 students as the experimental group. The average score during the pretest was 57,86 and the average posttest score was 76,90. The data analysis prerequisite test was carried out with the help of SPSS 25.0 with the normality test (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) at the pretest and posttest which obtained a significance value (Sig) 0.200 > 0.05, then the data was declared normally distributed. The results of the homogeneity test show that the average (based on mean) obtains a value (Sig) of 0.190 > 0.05, so the data is said to be homogeneous, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05 indicating a significant difference between the initial pretest and posttest. The results of the data analysis show that there is an influence of Nearpod interactive media on the ability to write short story texts for class XI SMA Pelita Tiga Jakarta. Based on the above results, Nearpod interactive media can be used as a good medium for learning short story texts. In addition, it can be implied for drama text learning materials in Basic Competency 3.18 and 4.18. Keywords: Nearpod interractive media, writing ability, short story text. ABSTRAK Reza Nur Qolby. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media interaktif Nearpod terhadap kemampuan menulis Teks Cerita Pendek pada siswa kelas XI SMA Pelita Tiga Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest design. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Nilai rata-rata pada saat pretest adalah 57,86 dan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 76,90. Uji prasyarat analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan SPSS 25.0 dengan uji normalitas (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) pada pretest dan posttest yang memperoleh nilai signifikansi (Sig) 0,200 > 0,05, maka data dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji homogenitas menunjukkan rata-rata (based on mean) memperoleh nilai (Sig) 0,190 > 0,05 maka data dinyatakan bersifat homogen yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara pretest awal dan posttest. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media interaktif Nearpod terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita pendek siswa kelas XI SMA Pelita Tiga Jakarta. Berdasarkan hasil di atas, media interaktif Nearpod dapat dijadikan sebagai media yang baik untuk pembelajaran teks cerita pendek.
