Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan metode pembelajaran di luar ruangan terhadap kemampuan kognitif peserta didik pada mata pelajaran geografi materi langkah-langkah Penelitian geografi di kelas X IPS SMA Labschool Cibubur. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen semu dengan bentuk non-equivalent control group design. Kelas X IPS 1 berperan sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X IPS 2 berperan sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penelitian di kedua kelas dilakukan dengan melibatkan guru geografi sekolah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kegiatan pre-test dan post-test serta observasi selama masa penelitian. Teknik analisis data melibatkan metode statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan Uji-T dan Uji N-Gain. Hasil Uji-T menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pada hasil belajar di kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Dari perbedaan tersebut, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning berbasis outdoor study memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan kognitif peserta didik pada materi Langkah-langkah Penelitian Geografi. Lebih lanjut, analisis Uji N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh dari model pembelajaran ini berada pada kategori sedang. **** This research aims to analyse the influence of a problem-based learning model based on outdoor study on student’s cognitive abilities in geography subject, specially the topic of Research Steps in Geography, in X Social classes of Labschool Cibubur Senior High School. This research was designed using a quasi-experimental research design with the form of a non-equivalent control group design. Class X Social 1 serves as a control class, while Class X Social 2 serves as an experimental class. The experiment on both classes carried out involving the school’s geography teacher. Data collection includes pre-test, post-test and observations during the research period. Data analysis technique involves descriptive and inferential statistical methods using T-Test and N-Gain Test. The T-test results indicate that there are differences in learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. From these differences, it can be concluded that the implementation of a problem-based learning model based on outdoor learning in the topic of Research Steps in Geography has an influence on student’s cognitive abilities. Furthermore, the results of the N-Gain Test shows that the impact of this learning model falls into the moderate category.
