Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya masyarakat Bogor dan juga pemerintah terhadap perkembangan perayaan Cap Go Meh di Kota Bogor dan dampak perayaan tersebut terhadap dinamika kehidupan masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian sejarah yaitu, heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi dengan model deskriptif naratif. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan sumber primer yaitu, wawancara dengan pelaku (Ketua Bogor Street Festival) dan sumber sekunder yang relevan dengan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perkembangan yang signifikan terhadap perayaan Cap Go Meh di Kota Bogor dari tahun 2003 hingga 2020 setelah adanya upaya re-orientasi dari perayaan yang awalnya identik dengan kebudayaan Tionghoa menjadi suatu perayaan yang menonjolkan gagasan “Bogorsentris” di mana kebudayaan Tionghoa dan Sunda bertemu membentuk karakteristik baru. Kini eksistensi perayaan ini semakin kuat, tidak hanya menjangkau skala nasional namun juga internasional. Perkembangan perayaan ini secara tidak langsung berpengaruh terhadap dinamika kehidupan masyarakat pada aspek sosial-budaya dana ekonomi. Terutama pada peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat Bogor, Toleransi, Peningkatan Pendapatan Daerah, dan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat melalui Ekonomi berbasis kerakyatan. Kata Kunci: Cap Go Meh, Reorientasi, Bogorsentris *** This research aims to describe the efforts of the Bogor community and also the government towards the development of the Cap Go Meh celebration in Bogor City and the impact of the celebration on the dynamics of community life. The research method used is the historical research method, namely, heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography with a descriptive narrative model. The research data collection used primary sources, namely, interviews with actors (Chairman of the Bogor Street Festival) and secondary sources relevant to the research. The results showed a significant development of the Cap Go Meh celebration in Bogor City from 2003 to 2020 after a re-orientation effort from a celebration that was initially identical to Chinese culture to a celebration that emphasizes the idea of "Bogorsentris" where Chinese and Sundanese cultures meet to form new characteristics. Now the existence of this celebration is getting stronger, not only reaching a national scale but also international. The development of this celebration indirectly affects the dynamics of community life in the socio-cultural aspects of economic funds. Especially on improving the quality of life of the Bogor community, Tolerance, Increasing Regional Revenue, and Community Welfare through a People-based Economy.
