Abstract
Total Quality Management (TQM) merupakan sebuah konsep manajemen sekolah yang diharapkan dapat memberikan perubahan kearah lebih baik yang dipersiapkan dengan tantangan zaman serta dinamika masyarakat agar dapat menjawab berbagai permasalahan dilingkungan sehari-hari. Manajemen mutu bertujuan untuk mewujudkan kualitas pendidikan dengan pengelolaan pendidikan efektif dan efisien di era perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih. Total Quality Management menjadi metode yang paling efektif dalam mencapai mutu pendidikan melalui kegiatan TQM organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan subjek penelitian Kepala Sekolah, Bagian Marketing, Orang Tua Murid dan Peserta Didik. Sumber data penelitian, yaitu sumber data primer dan sekunder. Dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis yang peneliti gunakan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Sedangkan peneliti menggunakan uji keabsahan data atau triangulasi sumber. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa; (1) Perencanaan (Plan) menunjukkan kegiatan pengembangan potensi peserta didik diawali dari hasil assement awal penerimaan siswa baru dan sesuai kesepakatan siswa jika ingin membentuk sebuah ekstrakulikuler, (2) Pelaksanaan (Do) berfokus pada pelanggan, keterlibatan total, dan berkelanjutan dengan melakukan perubahan pembelajaran baik intra maupun ekstrakulikuler yang dikehendaki (3) Evaluasi (check) dengan melakukan kegiatan pemantauan dan mengevaluasi proses dan hasil terhadap sasaran dan spesifikasi dengan teknik observasi dan survei kepada siswa, guru dan orangtua siswa dan melaporkan secara berkala hasil penilaian keberlaksanaan program sekolah sebagai upaya untuk melakukan evaluasi pencapaian pengembangan mutu sekolah., dan (4) Aksi (Action) menindaklanjuti hasil evaluasi berkala untuk perbaikan dengan meninjau seluruh langkah dan memodifikasi proses perbaikan pembelajaran intrakulikuler dan ekstrakulikuler untuk melakukan standarisasi perubahan sebagai bahan pertimbangan untuk melakukan revisi/perbaikan atas standar, prosedur dan kebijakan sekolah. Total Quality Management (TQM) is a school management concept that is expected to provide changes for the better that are prepared with the challenges of the times and the dynamics of society in order to be able to answer various problems in the daily environment. Quality management aims to realize quality education by managing education effectively and efficiently in an era of increasingly sophisticated technological developments. Total Quality Management is the most effective method in achieving educational quality through organizational TQM activities. This research uses descriptive qualitative research, with the research subjects being the Principal, Marketing Department, Parents and Students. Research data sources, namely primary and secondary data sources. The research used interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. The analysis that researchers use is data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Meanwhile, researchers use data validity testing or source triangulation. From the research results it can be seen that; (1) Planning (Plan) shows activities to develop students' potential starting from the results of the initial assessment of new student admissions and according to the student's agreement if they want to form an extracurricular, (2) Implementation (Do) focuses on customers, total involvement, and is sustainable by making changes desired intraand extra-curricular learning (3) Evaluation (check) by carrying out monitoring activities and evaluating processes and results against targets and specifications using observation and survey techniques to students, teachers and parents and reporting periodically the results of assessing the implementation of school programs as an effort to evaluate the achievement of school quality development, and (4) Action (Action) to follow up on the results of periodic evaluations for improvement by reviewing all steps and modifying the process of improving intracurricular and extracurricular learning to standardize changes as consideration for making revisions/improvements to standards, school procedures and policies.
