Abstract

ABSTRAK Dyah Ayu Sekar Anggini, Analisis Penerapan Pola Asuh Otoriter Bagi Kecerdasan Emosional Anak (Pada Peserta Didik SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta). Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan IPS, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2024. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) Mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi orang tua memilih menerapkan pola asuh otoriter kepada anak mereka; (2) Mengetahui dampak penerapan pola asuh otoriter bagi kecerdasan emosional anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 guru Bimbingan Konseling SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta, 5 peserta didik, dan 5 orang tua dari peserta didik terpilih. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) Berdasarkan penelitian, hal terbesar yang mempengaruhi orang tua menerapkan pola asuh otoriter berasal dari faktor eksternal, yaitu karena status sosial dan ekonomi serta lingkungan tempat mereka tinggal. (2) Pola asuh otoriter yang diterapkan orang tua ternyata memiliki dampak bagi kecerdasan emosional sang anak. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari seberapa besar pola asuh tersebut berdampak pada indikator kecerdasan emosional (kesadaran diri, pengaturan diri, dorongan untuk melakukan sesuatu atau motivasi, menumbuhkan hubungan saling percaya dan kecakapan sosial (empati), dan keterampilan sosial) Kata Kunci: Pola Asuh Otoriter, Kecerdasan Emosional, Anak *********** ABSTRACT Dyah Ayu Sekar Anggini, Analysis of the Application of Authoritarian Parenting for Children's Emotional Intelligence (in Students at SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta). Thesis. Jakarta: Social Sciences Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University, 2024. This study aims to: (1) Find out the factors that influence parents to choose to apply an authoritarian parenting to their children; (2) Knowing the impact of implementing authoritarian parenting on children's emotional intelligence. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta. The research method used is descriptive. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The subjects in this research were 2 Counseling Guidance teachers at SMP Negeri 92 Jakarta, 5 students, and 5 parents of selected students. The results of this study shows that: (1) Based on research, the biggest influence on parents implementing authoritarian parenting comes from external factors, namely social and economic status and the environment in which they live; (2) The authoritarian parenting style applied by parents turns out to have an impact on the child's emotional intelligence. This can be seen from how much this parenting style has an impact on indicators of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, encouragement to do something or motivation, fostering relationships of mutual trust and empathy, and social skills).
