Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman pendidikan seks pada siswa SMP Negeri 57 Jakarta dan pentingnya pendidikan seks pada siswa SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket atau kuesioner, wawancara, studi kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan pendekatan secara kuantitatif dengan data yang bersumber dari data primer yang kemudian dianalisis dan diukur. Berdasarkan analisa data yang sudah dilakukan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman pendidikan seks pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 57 Jakarta masuk ke dalam kategori tinggi dengan angka persentase sebesar 82,3%. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari siswa yang mampu menjelaskan, mencontohkan, dan mengklasifikasikan delapan konsep utama dalam pendidikan seksual menurut UNESCO. Adapun pentingnya pendidikan seksual pada siswa yaitu: 1) membantu siswa memahami perubahan yang terjadi pada saat pubertas, 2) mengarahkan siswa kearah perilaku seksual yang sehat, dan 3) pendidikan seksual mencegah terjadinya kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual Kata kunci: Pemahaman, Pendidikan Seks, Siswa *** The aim of this research is to describe the comprehension of sex education among students at Junior High School State 57 Jakarta and the importance of sex education among junior high school students. The research method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this research were 9th grade students with data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, literature study and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is a quantitative approach with data sourced from primary data which is then analyzed and measured. Based on the data analysis that has been carried out, the results of this research show that the understanding of sex education among 9th grade students at Junior High School State 57 Jakarta is in the high category with a percentage of 82.3%. This can be seen from students who are able to explain, exemplify and classify the eight main concepts in sexual education according to UNESCO. The importance of sexual education for students is: 1) helping students understand the changes that occur during puberty, 2) directing students towards healthy sexual behavior, and 3) sexual education prevents sexual violence and harassment.
