Abstract

Tujuan dari penelian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Hubungan Student Engagement Dan Student Employability Skill pada Mata Pelajaran Front Office Di SMK Negeri 38 Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI dan XII berjumlah 104 yang telah mendapatkan mata pelajaran front office. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan sensus/sampling total. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Instrument Student Engagement di ukur dengan Understanding and Measuring Student Engagament in School. Sedangkan instrumen Employability Skills pada penelitian ini menggunakan Student Engagement Questionnaire (SESQ). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan antara Student Engagement dengan Student Employability Skill. Berdasarkan nilai koefisien korelasi Spearman, diketahui terdapat hubungan cukup erat antara Student Engagement dan Student Employability Skill yang artinya semakin tinggi Student Engagement yang diberikan siswa maka semakin tinggi pula student employability yang dimiliki siswa. Oleh karena itu Student Engagement berperan penting dalam meningkatkan student employability siswa. Student Engagement dan student employability terdapat nilai koefisien korelasi ( r ) sebesar 0,485 artinya berhubungan cukup. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa Student Engagement memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan student employability. Kata Kunci : Front Office, Student Employability Skill, Student Engagement. ***** The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between Student Engagement and Student Employability Skills in front office subjects at SMK Negeri 38 Jakarta. This research is a type of quantitative research. The population in this study was 104 class XI and XII students who had received front office subjects. Samples were taken using nonprobability sampling techniques with census/total sampling. The data collection technique used in this research used a questionnaire. The Student Engagement instrument is measured by Understanding and Measuring Student Engagement in School. Meanwhile, the Employability Skills instrument in this research uses the Student Engagement Questionnaire (SESQ). Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between Student Engagement and Student Employability Skill. Based on the Spearman correlation coefficient value, it is known that there is a fairly close relationship between Student Engagement and Student Employability Skill, which means that the higher the Student Engagement given by the student, the higher the student employability the student will have. Therefore, Student Engagement plays an important role in increasing student employability. Student Engagement and student employability have a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.485, meaning that they are quite correlated. So it can be said that Student Engagement has a positive relationship with student employability. Keywords: Front Office, Student Employability Skill, Student Engagement.
