Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh variabel financial knowledge dan variabel Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) terhadap perilaku konsumtif pada remaja di Jakarta. Variabel eksogen pada penelitian ini adalah financial knowledge dan Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). Variabel endogen pada penelitian ini adalah perilaku konsumtif. Grand theory yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). Jumlah sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini ialah sebanyak 160 sampel. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan ialah teknik purposive sampling dengan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Partial Least Square ¬– Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk outer model adalah uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Selain itu, teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk inner model adalah koefisien determinasi atau R-Squares, uji multikolinearitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa financial knowledge dan Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap perilaku konsumtif. Selain itu, financial knowledge berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). Kata Kunci: Financial Knowledge, Fear of Missing Out, Perilaku konsumtif, Theory of Planned Behaviour *** This research aims to examine the influence of the financial knowledge variable and the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) variable on consumer behavior among teenagers in Jakarta. The exogenous variables in this research are financial knowledge and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). The endogenous variable in this research is consumer behavior. The grand theory used for this research is the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The number of samples used for this research was 160 samples. The data collection technique used is purposive sampling technique with the data analysis method used is Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). The data analysis technique used for the outer model is validity testing and reliability testing. Apart from that, the data analysis techniques used for the inner model are the coefficient of determination or R-Squares, multicollinearity test, and hypothesis testing. The results of this research show that financial knowledge and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) have a significant positive effect on consumer behavior. Apart from that, financial knowledge has a significant positive effect on Fear of Missing Out (FOMO).
